TECKEPIC WiFi LED Strip Controller - Wireless Smart Controller for Light Strips Compatible with Alexa Google Home for Voice and APP Control, Compatible with Android iOS

Purchased 3 of these, hoping to link some RGB LED strips I got on the cheap to my home smartlighting system. Received them along with some other components for connecting to the strips (which I tested to be functional).First thing I noticed, right off the bat, the controller specifies a voltage but not an amperage. No problem, I have a bunch of DC converters around the house to test against. Well, I tried 1A, 1.5A, and 2A, to no avail. Saw all sorts of bugs, from blinking the wrong colors to getting uncomfortably hot, and even when I finally managed to get them connected to the network (about 3 hours of fiddling) they would, after about 15 minutes, start blinking red and then stop. I presume because they couldn't maintain an internet connection.Right now, one controller always shines blue, the second blinks white instead of red, and the third doesn't respond at all. None can connect to wifi for long enough or consistently enough to be controlled.That said, I would consider these unusable. They will have to be scrapped for parts, unfortunately, as I can't use them as they are. Save your money, would not recommend. Simply a waste of time.

I tried to order it a few times (yes more than once) to give it a try. But it came broken, didnt work right... etc . So ... my recommendation... Move to the next item. ;)

Hopefully I just got a fluke item. I will start with the good. As always amazon shipped fast. The controller looks great. Now the bad. I really really hate to leave a bad review and as I said I hope it is just a fluke item. I plugged the controller to my setup and when I pushed the button the back popped off and the front fell off too. The electronics board was all that was left. I unplugged, glued and plugged in again. All seemed well until I asked Google to change the color. I said blue. It changed to green. I said green it turned blue. Purple was yellow and yellow as purple. This was especially disappointing because it was for the front picture lights of a signed picture of my wife's favorite singer with properly working controller and led's backlighting from Hitlights. The surprise gift became a joke with people guessing what color would actually appear when they asked Google to display a certain color. The app has the same results. In most cases I would just trash and get sometging else with out a word but this one cut me a little. I don't know if I can return because I had to glue it.

At this point I have purchased four of these and I've already used three. Out of the 4 that I got only one was broken by delivery. The rest have been deployed and have been working perfectly for a few months now.This controller pairs well with the ‘Smart Life’ app and through the ‘Smart Life’ app it works well with the Google Assistant and Alexa. I value the level of customization that the Smart Life app brings to any smart home device.I've used other controllers in the past, and this one is not necessarily better or worse than any of the other controllers. It does a good job, about the same as all the other ones out there. The noticeable difference I would say is that it is much smaller compared to other RGB LED controllers.

Tried many WIFI controllers such as Magic Light and all were junk. This controller came to the rescue and is easy to hook up and get working with your phone and/or with Alexa.

This thing works with Tuya Smart Life... barely. Save yourself the money and frustration; get something else.
