Durable exterior fabric—you can feel the quality. Zippers are heavyweight, not flimsy. The gold brass zippers in the front are similarly chunky. (I think the black/gold colorway has been discontinued.) I love the dual access: the zippered interior partition allows you to separate clean and dirty clothes, or shoes, toiletries, etc, by accessing the front compartment separately. Or you can leave the interior partition unzipped and pack it like a top-loading trunk—one big space. Wheels are smooth, handle doesn’t jiggle, and I appreciate all the extra pockets, of which there are several. Lots of organization for a carry-on. It may be pricey but it looks like a long term piece.
