The Ring of Elrond is described as holding a great blue stone. Each ring is fitted with a 12 x 10 mm faceted lab grown Sapphire (blue spinel), approximately 5.5 to 6 carats in weight. The ring is cast in sterling silver and available in US sizes 5 to 13, in whole and half sizes. The ring measures approximately 17.4 mm (11/16") from top to bottom and the band measures 3 mm (1/8") wide. The sterling silver Vilya weighs approximately 6.5 grams, weight will vary with size. The element of air is represented in the ring by the swirling patterns and lightening bolts on the sides of the ring. The patterns symbolize the movement and power of wind and cloud.
