ImagAbility Wedgits Starter Tote - 20 Pieces

My son doesn't want for much toy-wise. He's almost 3 now, but I bought this for him at Christmas 2011 when he was 2. He plays with this set every single day which says a lot. Many toys cannot hold his interest for more than 5 minutes and just collect dust but this one is such a creative toy there's a world of possibilities. He loves to build towers with it and he is like "Look Mom my tower!" it's so cute! I love that it seems to be a toy that can grow with him rather than something he will outgrow in 6 mos. from now. I am one of those parents who swears off the fancy schmantzy lights and music toys I prefer something that he can be creative with and make his own story with. Thinking back to my childhood I always preferred the simpler more basic toys and I think most kids today are probably the same (I'm 27) they may think they want the "it toy" of the year but realistically for most kids they'll play with it a few times and tire of it (with the exception of game consoles. I'm sure those are used quite a bit.) So yeah, this is a great creative toy for kids - LOVE it!

My son LOVES this pack! He is 9, and has had a smaller starter set of Wedgits for many years, though it was too small a set to do much with; I'd always seen the intrigue in the toy, however. So in spite of the daunting price, I finally splurged for two sets this Xmas. This one for my son, and a pink and purple set for my daughter. Excellent quality tote of strong plastic, with both zippers and velcro closure. The idea cards and manual each fit into their own built-in pockets on the inner sides of the tote, as well... I thought this very clever and handy. The tote has the larger-sized pyramids that are NOT choking hazards. Nice for when younger children are visiting our home. This tote also has enough room to store his original set of Wedgits, which I like... keeping them all contained. I really wish I'd not balked at the price for so long, as in person it's a great set, with a fun 'base' for use, and lots of blocks for creative play. Very pleased with this purchase, and I'll be back for a couple more sets to be sure!

These may seem pricey but they are one toy that is worth the money! They are indestructible, large enough not to lose and fun for all ages. I like having this set with the building base and carrying case. We have two sets and added the connector set as well. You can also buy more complicated sets of instruction cards. I love watching my preschool aged kids figure out new ways to turn and stack them and build new creations. You can follow the direction cards included or freestyle. They are a playdate favorite! My tween and teen nephews and niece love them as well and always try to build lifesize towers. Buy them!

We received this as a gift for our first child and have since given it as a gift to several children. It may not seem like much but it keeps a baby, toddler, preschooler, and even a kindergartener busy for a while. Easy for a toddler/baby to grasp. When our son was 1 year old, he used to sit and play/build with the Wedgits for 30-60 minutes or more at a time. This was his "go to" toy! As the set was handed down to our daughter, she played with it just as much. She is not a "builder" like our son; however, she used to carry pieaces around, collect them in a basket, and use them at her tea parties! Two very different kids...one great toy! :)

we have this and another wedgit set. What i like about this is we also got the big green building board and the cards. and we wanted a big green block as well. which we got with this.i was a little sad that it didn't come with a stand like the delux sets come with. I find that its easiest to keep track of them when they are stacked as apposed to in a bag.i'm beginning a process of laminating cards to see if that will help them last longer.

Our kids and my nieces and nephews love to play with this toy. I think this kit has bigger pieces than some of the other sets. This set is for my 3.5 yr old. Based on how my nieces and nephews use it I am sure we will be buying more in the future. I picked this one because some of the other sets seem to have much smaller pieces. In addition to having a 3.5yr old we also have a 1.5 yr old and I try to avoid very small parts.

Both my 2 and 4 yr old love playing with these wedgits. They almost fight over it. We gave it to our 2 yr old for her birthday and the two of them play with it almost everyday. What is really nice about this toy is that as they get older there are other kits to add to the set. There are also design cards to help stimulate and challenge them. I can see them using this for many years...as long as we do not lose all the pieces ;).

I purchased 2 sets of these building toys for our preschool. I used them this summer with 2 and 3 year olds as well as 5 year olds. There are no small parts so 2 year olds can use them without fear of putting them in there mouth and swallowing any small parts. They are easy to wash and clean as well. They are very durable even when stepped on by rambunctious boys. Two and Three year olds loved building their own creations and knocking them over.The 5 year olds loved the challenge of trying to duplicate the pictures on the cards. We even used the cards as a game. Counting the pieces we would need to create each picture and seeing who could duplicate the card photo. Love, Love, Love these WEDGiTS! The bag they come in for storage is great and easy for children to carry and clean up.
