Hodgson Mill Flour Rye, 5-Pound (Pack of 3)

My first job as a teenager was at a bread factory, where I learned how to make bread and got to like fresh rye bread. As a result, I am very picky with recipe, ingredients, proper timing. I can't find any rye bread in a supermarket that would satisfy my taste, so I have to bake my own even though my current occupation has nothing to do with bread. It is software engineering. This bread flour is my favorite choice for baking rye bread.

I've been using Hodgson Mill whole rye flour to make hearty multigrain bread for many years. The supermarkets in my area no longer cary rye flour of any kind or size, so I decided to go online. I would have rated the delivery 5 stars except for some minor damage to one of the flour bags. The shipping container was undamaged, but one bag had a small tear in it. The flour was fine and the bread outstanding as always.

I enjoy making rye bread in my breadmaker. Since rye flour is not available in our local grocery stores I ordered some 1 lb packages from Amazon. It worked to make excellent rye bread. So when I used up all the 1 lb packages, I ordered the pack of 3 5lb packages to have it on hand and because it is much cheaper to purchase it in 5 lb packs. Very good product.

Good flour for the money. Can't get rye flour in any store anymore.

This is a great product. I’ve been wanting to make 100% rye bread for a long time. Thanks to Hudgson Mill Flour I was able to easily order it on amazon and within 2-3 business days start making my starter and baking bread. The flour worked perfectly. I’ve reordered twice and look forward to ordering many more times.

This is an excellent product. Other rye flours, if you find them in stores at all, are too fine for baking a proper rye bread, while this product is close to a meal. It is also nutritionally sound, being a whole grain flour. The only problem is that it is not that easily available in mainstream stores, so it is fortunate that one can get it by mail order.

I have baked 3 loaves of rye bread using this flour and they turned out very good. Nice texture and flavor. Will be ordering more when I need it, our local grocery store only carries organic rye flour and that is a bit pricy.
