All day comfort and padded in the right places
I made a decision to wear calve high socks, after a mountain bike injury that resulted in swelling. I am so happy, I wear these to when I gold, I alway walk, when I fly, not sock rings around my lower calves and my legs are not over heating. I looked to see if they was a ski version with padding for the shin are. They are not available, but I will bring these for my next ski trip. Highly recommend. PS have now washed them a few times as good as new.

Toasty Warm!
These socks keep me warm, but not overly warm. I'm out in the cold walking quite a bit. They don't fall down. Actually, I'm not aware of them at all after I put them on because they are simply perfect! I had one pair and got two more. I wouldn't take a star away for this, but be careful while pulling them up because a whole did develop at the seam that goes around the sock about an inch from the top.

Very nice!
I am not a skier but needed some warm but thin socks for my boots this winter. I am allergic to wool and it always itches but these do not itch at all! Very comfortable and thin, which I prefer, and nice and warm for me in temps that are not terribly low. They are good down past freezing into the 20’s so far but we haven’t had any really cold weather in Rhode Island this winter yet. Not much support or compression, but a nice sock that works when you need a warm knee sock under pants. They are ok in the dryer, but I hang them dry now after trying that on one pair. It didn’t ruin them however and I may end up drying them in the dryer more since they were a bit loose initially. They stay up, no problem.

Best Cold Weather Ski Sockets Around
Best cold weather ski sockets around.I own many different brands and weights of ski socks and if the weather is cold, these are absolutely the best. As other reviewers have commented, they keep your feet warm in all but the coldest weather without chemical heaters. I have skied for several hours in sub-freezing weather without a problem. In fact, the only time my toes ever got cold was after several hours of skiing in temperatures close to 0 F.They also have extra weaving that serves as padding in just the places where you need it (see the darker or lighter areas in the product picture), and are shaped specifically for Left and Right feet for a good smooth fit.Yet, despite the warmth and extra padding they are not bulky and I had no problem fitting my feet into my ski boots. They have the right amount of stretch so that they fit a wide range of foot sizes nicely without being lose or too tight. I am a Men's 11 and purchased a L/XL and it fit well. I was also impressed with how soft they felt as I am usually not happy with wool socks -- even Merino wool.I highly recommend having at least one pair of them for skiing when the temperatures are below or around freezing. I like them so much that I recently purchased a second pair.

Warm and lightweight
I purchased these socks to wear in cold weather while pressure washing during colder months. My feet and hands get very cold and nothing seems to keep either warm. The combination of cold temps and cold water take their toll. I thought I would try these socks given the good reviews. So far they have done a great job keeping my feet and toes warm and dry. The added bonus of extra warmth up my calves wasn't expected. I wear them when I walk now too as an added layer of warmth for my legs without added clothing. My only issue is they seem to be a little tight in the upper calf area near knee. I do not have big calves either. Maybe this is how they are supposed to fit for skiing? This hasn't been a problem for me though and the socks always stay up. I never have to pull them up. I am a 5'4" tall women who wears size 8.5 shoes and I bought a S/M. They fit great and I am very happy with them. If only I could find something like this for my hands ;)

Good socks, kept feet warm
Socks were Thinner than I expected but worked well and were durable. Skied in 10° weather...no issues on sunny days without warmers. Same temp, no sun and warmers...toes a bit cold but probably not a sock issue. Keepers...bought 1 each in black and pink.
