Sleek, fast and bright
Took me a minute to get used to- but it's really sweet. It gives a hard sound, but not as hard as stainless or bone- more like tortoise shell, and is very comfortable in the hand, and very fast.

Finish on the pick is hit or miss.
The pick is real and natural. As such, my picks came in a little curved. I suppose this is due to the natural curvature of the horn.My issue is on the pick edges. They are barely beveled and on a couple of them, the edge has grain. Again, due to the natural grain of the horn. They should've not included the ones where the grain was on the pick tip, or at least they should've filed it out.

Suprising
It's weird how a stiff pick (as many jazz players know) can be so fast. I like the feel of these and the sound of them on my strings. I won;t use it on my 12-string (duh), but it's likely to become my primary pick for my Strat and LP Custom...

Oddly form-fitting warm pick
These definitely create a warmer tone, which mutes the treble somewhat. They feel great in the hand, and respond to the warmth of the palm, which makes them remarkably slip-resistant. However, I noticed after only two hours of playing that my pick started warping to fit my hand, almost like a shoe insole, and I'm not sure yet whether I like that. You can clearly see the bowing in one direction, like a spoon, and I know which side I played it on. Never seen this with any other picks of any other materials (and I experiment with a wide range of pick materials).

Slick Pick
Great pick, slides across the strings smoothly and since it is THICK makes for a great lead pick. For all the studio guys out there though, it will make a "clicking" sound so not always the right tool for the job, but with an acoustic it sounds GREAT!

Not tear drop pick, is regular size!!
Is not a tear drop pick , but a regular one heavy pick. If you are looking for a tear drop pick, look for another choice.

Just a plane flat pick
From the picture it looks like a form shaped pick with a feathered edge like a big stubby. What I got was a common flat pick. The thickness was inconsistent by almost about a half millimeter between picks. Good hard common pick, nothing more. Not a good picture, not what I expected.Update: I've been carving my own picks for a bit now so I know what works for me. Anyhow, I kept looking at this pick then saw it as an unfinished product. I shaped it out then feathered out the point the way I though it should be and it works pretty good now. The picks I received averaged a little over 1.5mm so I had plenty of material to work with. So, good material, good Idea, I just prefer a more finished product. This horn material deserves better than just stamped out and deburred.
