Lots of small things done right! Best of many I've used.
This Waterloo adjustable keyboard and mouse tray is the best of many I've used. There's no single dominant feature that stands out, but it's the best combination of many smaller features done well that make it my first choice overall -- by a signicant margin.-- Easy to install-- Easy to adjust -- slides in and out, swings left and right, tilts, adjusts up and down-- Low profile -- I'm tall and it will sit comfortably above my knees and still simply slide back under the desk surface without re-adjusting everything. It also doesn't have large hanging components on which to bang your knees (what it does have hanging is well behind the keyboard and out of the way of knees).-- Large keyboard surface has plenty of room for other things behind and beside the keyboard (pen, Post-It pad, etc.)-- Large hard mouse surface-- No glued on foam mouse surface to wear out, get grimy, and be impossible to remove/replace. I simply drop a regular, replaceable, surface (the thin Wow!Pad is my favorite for an optical mouse) atop the slide-out surface.-- Mouse is at the same height as the keyboard-- Mouse tray slides left or right for left-/right-handers or simply for a change of hands-- No built-in wrist pad. They promote poor wrist posture, abrade my wrists slightly, get grimy, etc. However, Waterloo does have an optional one you can add.I do have one complaint:-- The mouse tray slides very easily. I recommend putting a screw through the hole in the bottom to lock the mouse tray in place, or simply wedge it (a ladies foam wedge cosmetic applicator works great).

Very happy
We have been using this product now for about a month and really happy with it. With both my wife and I being of very different body sizes we needed a keyboard tray that could be flexible. This one works great! For those people also looking to use it with a Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 I'm very pleased to let you know that it works just fine. While it doesn't exactly fit the tray is sits on it without rocking even with the keyboard's front riser installed. The only issue with using the riser is if you want to slide the tray under the desk you will need to make sure the tray is angled down just a bit.The product seems well built although I do wonder about the adjustment handle being plastic. While it isn't flimsy it is plastic and gets used several times a day. Other than that minor concern I expect everything to last a long time.

terrific keyboard tray
A colleague just came into my office to check out my keyboard tray, which made me realize what a terrific item it was and that I should share my experience.Although the instructions are pretty weak, a few minutes looking at everything made it easy to install the tray. It went up solidly and stayed that way until we moved. It was removed by someone else for me (while I was away), but simple to reinstall in the new office. I have to note that a plastic piece broke off in the unskilled removal, so I have to be more careful now when I adjust the height. The tray is solid, adjustable, and tucks away nicely.I am very happy with this purchase.

Horrible instructions
This is a very solid, seemingly well-built keyboard tray. My problem is that the instructions that came with it were horrible. I was able to attach it to our desk without a problem (as other reviewers suggest, nice template, etc.). That's not the problem. Unless I am missing something, we CANNOT move the tray down or tilt it as it is supposed to. There is a lever that seems like it should go up and down and back and forth but it doesn't move, and I'm afraid I'm going to break it. There are no instructions detailing this. There seems to be a diagram on the arm, but it is underneath the rolling mechanism and I can't read it without moving it down, so I'm stuck. Called customer service and they referred me to Waterloo (the manufacturer). I got voicemail there. Hoping for a call back, but I'm not super optimistic.

A good part of life!
This is the second time I have bought this keyboard tray, and I love it. It is solid, swings left and right, and the mouse area can be quickly adjusted between the left and right sides. I mouse on the left and my husband mouses on the right, so this is important in our home. The height is adjustable, and it has been the best investment at keeping me comfortable at the keyboard. A standard mouse may need a pad, but I have always used some variety of trackpad, and so there is no issue.

Works well with antique desk.
Very happy with the quality of this keyboard tray. We needed a keyboard tray with mouse tray that could slide into the 24" wide kneehole of our antique, oak desk. Fits perfectly. I may have mounted it a little to far back trying to hide the mechanism. The mouse tray bumps the desk's drawer pull in some positions.

Can't adjust angle of tray
The tray does not sit flat and over the last few months has changed increased the angle (towards the back) so that it is almost impossible to use. It can't be adjusted to and tilts upwards so that you have to prop up the keyboard in the back and the mouse slides right off the back of the mouse tray. There is NO way to adjust the angle and hence is really a waste of money.

100% Success
No cheap plastic parts, easy to install, functional, flexible, durable. I made this purchase based on reviews of this and other units. I've had this tray for almost four months. I could say that I would buy this again, but it looks like it is going to last a long time. I recommend this item to anyone who needs a really good keyboard tray.
