Perfect fit! Not for pip squeaks. The quality is amazing for this price.To those that think this dome cover is "gigantic": No sane warrior would coat their cranium in merely iron(or steel in this case). Helmets were heavily padded with wool, linen, and leather. Also, Scandinavians are known for their immense stature. If you don't understand the equipment and are on the smaller side of the scale, ...you're gonna have a bad time, ;)Keep in mind the price. This is stamped steel with trim. The exposed edges on the spectacle guard are sharp. I used a few different shaped files and smoothed them out so as to not gash fingers when grasping it. The rivets holding the ear guards in place(through leather) needed tending. The helm comes nearly round in shape, but noone's head is the same, so just squish the sides in to match your amount of oval needed. The nasal guard comes creased but almost flat. Folding it tighter towards the tip brings the guard out a bit more and increases the field of view.Awesome cheap helm!!

Its an awesome helm for only $50. Well made and looks amazing. You could probably survive an actual battle in it. BUT!! I have a few complaints. So, here we go!!They delivered my helmet in a FedEx plastic material bag instead of a box. It showed up misshapen, has a dent (see picture), and some of the rings from the mail had popped off. It was quit obvious the package was not treated well. The shipping material was a dumb move on someone's part. Nice job. I was able to reform the helmet so it would fit my head by pushing the sides of the helmet together so the nose guard would push outward. It fits now, but, then there is a rivet on the inside that scratched the hell out of my forehead. LOL!! You'll need a coif or an arming cap.The dent, not sure how I'm going to handle that one, buts its ugly as hell. I'm not real happy about it.I think someone tossed the helm into the shipping bag and then dumped an entire bottle of oil inside with it. It was damn near pouring out when I opened the bag. It was a mess I didn't want.Again, its a nice piece for the price. Please, just please, ship this thing in a different manner!!! I beg you!

it's a very nice looking piece.great for light reenactment combat and play.the chinstrap needs to be modified if you want to keep the helmet from moving side-to-side when you turn your head.the chainmail on the back of the neck comes loose easily.it is overall a good price for the value of the item.

This is a really good helm for this price point! The liner inside is glued on and you may need a stronger glue, depending on how you want to wear the helm. This is a pretty large helm, you'll definitely need to buy a padded hood if you don't have a large head to fit it. The liner inside should be good enough if you're not going to be fighting in it, otherwise you will definitely need some padding to prevent the helm from moving so much. Overall really great product and I'm excited to test it out on the battlefield.

This didn’t come as shown the gold is missing off of the helmet and there is no side chain mail or metal neck pieces on it. Good product but is not accurately pictured.

Fast shipping! Helmet came in nice thick box undamaged. Is great quality for the price, very happy with purchase. Just found out my ancestors were Vikings will be a great keep sake and conversation piece or wear into battle!

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality craftsmanship and attention to detail in this product. It fit perfectly, a solid build that actually could protect my head, confrontable (leather insert that keeps your head from hitting metal), and it looks great. I recommend this helmet to anyone who is looking for a functional helmet or a display item.

Thought it looked cool. Bought it for the History Channel show Vikings. Sadly arrived with a golf ball size dent---maybe from a sword...LOL. Anyway, helmet inside had a rivet sticking out which I didn't notice until I put it on and it gashed my forehead and blood started pouring down my face....NOT nice.
