Jerry Heasley's Rare Finds: Rediscovering Muscle Car Treasures (Cartech) Paperback – June 10, 2011

My husband is a car guy. He builds various cars online that there is no chance we will buy. He reads car magazines, he likes shows on tv about cars, etc, etc. He is so hard to shop for, but I found this book and read the reviews. They were all right. My husband said there are some amazing stories in this book. He is really enjoying it and says this is one of the best presents I ever got him. He is so hard to shop for, so I was glad this one was a winner!

This book is very enjoyable. If you enjoy stories of lost treasures or old classic cars this is the book to read .The various places and cars are intresting and sometimes touching with memories of famliy memebers. The plentiful photos (seems like hundreds) are sharp and really tell stories of times and places. The stories about the 1st General Lee and 1st Shelby Mustang keeps you reading through all the book. This makes the book seem alive and has backing as the stories and photos come together making the book factual in story telling. Buy this book and you wont be disappointed.

A little dated now, but still a great bathroom book (short chapters, 3-5 pages). Covers the unearthing of a dozen or so very interesting cars and a half-dozen less interesting (to me). Some of the stories are great though.Now that "barn finds" are the TV fad of the year I'm sure this book will see a resurgence in popularity.

Good stories and photos. Admire the people who spend the time to restore these wrecks. Must be fun to have time to search for the cars.

Book arrived in very good shape. Arrived early. Good read.

I just finished reading this book and if you are the type that likes to hear about old car finds and the history behind them you will love it! I'ts hard to put down once you open it though as each story offers another interesting find. Superbirds, daytonas, corvettes, camaros, customs, exotics, it has them all. Highly recommended to any car enthusiast.

I have both of Jerry Heasley's Rare Finds books and also read his columns in the buff books. Always find them very interesting. When I got this copy of Rare Finds it was hard to put it down. Same went for the other book that focuses on Fords. Keep up the great work Jerry

Once I started reading this book, I couldn't put it down until I finished it. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to relax and enjoy the cars of yester-year. The author did a great job with a lot of what I call accurate information about the cars I grew up around.

The book is brilliant,it is a fascinating insight into the world of barn finds and in other unusual places.i found that once I started Icould not put it down.

Bought this as a gift for my muscle car mad husband and he was gripped all holiday. Shows fantastic 'wish that had been me' finds.

I was very pleasantly surprised when I received this book. Beautiful colour photos! It was a Christmas present for my boyfriend and he LOVED it. Highly recommend.
