Bully Tools 92393 12-Gauge 22-Inch Steel Machete

I purchased this item in September of 2010 for a fraction of the list price, and it has sat unused in my utility room ever since. I regret not reviewing sooner and saving a few customers from wasting their money on this. You can pay less for something out of the bargain bin at your local cheap tool stores, and even then you'll get a sheath and some sort of an edge to start with on the product. This "machete" comes with no edge at all, and that's precisely why I haven't bothered with the the bench grinder. I fear that once I grind the paint off, I'll realize I've bought a five pound hunk of monkey metal. This blade is far too flimsy to be this long, and I'm wondering why they made it so thick instead of going with a harder metal. I'll be back in another three years to review the sharpened product, as I surmise it will take me that long to put a decent edge on this blade.

Very Disapointed in this, to heavy and poor grip and can't sharpen enough to be effective, I use a machete every day and it was listed as heavy duty and that was attractive but is no where near as effective as the much cheaper ones.

Total Garbage. Seems to be left dead soft and devoid of proper heat treat. Both my initial order and replacement were bent into a pretzel right out of the box. Wholly unsuitable for actual use.
