REACTOR Men's 68008 Atom Classic Analog Watch

A very handsome watch with a bright, read-at-a-glance orange dial. And the dial luminescence is outstanding.REACTOR makes some very cool watches, which compare favorably to Big Name Watches costing a lot more. This would've been the 3rd REACTOR Watch I have purchased, I like the brand that well.Unfortunately, the sample I received was obviously a used and worn return, with no plastic film on the watch crystal, smudges on the band, and even discoloration in the stainless steel on the back of the watch case. I also had a devil of a time getting the proper day to flip over--it wanted to stay stuck on Friday.Another thing I noticed is that the DAY rolls over quite some time after the DATE flips over, and the sample I got gave me the day in Spanish for an hour or so, before rolling over to the English equivalent. While this may not be a defect, it is also a feature that I do not appreciate. One thing I look for in a watch is At-A-Glance Readability, and a bilingual watch is of no interest to me (no offense intended). I would respond the same to any secondary language being displayed on any watch.I promptly returned the watch, and Amazon being Amazon, processed the return without delay. No harm done.At any rate, this is a handsome timepiece with a distinctive and easily read dial. And being a REACTOR, the dial illumination is fabulous!NOTE: If a rubber strap band just fits you, you will probably have to have a jeweler refit this metal band to accommodate your wrist. This is the perfect watch, I could not ask for a better watch. The orange dial and the blue hand and numbers are outstanding. This watch is so cool ,if you ever want to own one watch this is it. The fit and finish are perfect the style the brushed stainless steel band. I do see myself buying other Reactor watches.

Absolutely fantastic.

My watch arrived in pristine condition, with no fingerprints like another reviewer mentioned. I had no problems or setting the time or the date. The day is in English, and both day and date advance smoothly at Midnight.The watch looks and feels substantial and well-made, with a screw-down crown and case back. The band links are solid stainless steel, not hollow. The band is pre-sized a bit smaller than most watches, so I didn't have to remove any links. It does include two extra links to add for larger wrists. The crystal is 36mm diameter, the bezel is 43mm diameter and the case is 47mm from the left edge to the end of the crown. For me, the size and weight are just right. Weight is 6.3 ounces / 180 grams. Might be too heavy for some, but I don't even notice that I'm wearing it. Accuracy is typical for a quartz movement. I synchronized mine on March 8, the start of Daylight Saving Time. Twelve weeks later, it was 10 seconds fast.The orange dial color is extremely cool! It’s fun to have something different than the usual black, white or blue dial. I receive many complements when wearing it. The hands and dial numerals are white, and are outlined in a shiny mirror-finish blue that really looks great against the orange dial. The lume is excellent! It first glows super-bright when exposed to sunlight or a strong light, and is still readable many hours later.The second hand is a bit inconsistent. For about half of the second hand's sweep, it lands directly on the hash marks, but for the final 30 seconds, it lands in-between two hash marks. Not that big of deal for me, but it might bother some people, so I thought I'd mention it.
