Oco 1 An amazing Wi-Fi based camera. No need to look elsewhere. Just buy it.
First time review on Amazon and I can think of nothing better to write about than this Oco camera. We had been searching for a wi-fi based camera with a smartphone app for about a year. Tried a couple of different ones and even though the cameras were fine, the apps for them were terrible. Slow to start, stopping unexpectedly, poor picture quality etc.There I was searching again on Amazon and happened to look further down the page of a competitor product and I found the Oco 1. Curious about it, I read the reviews and they were good. Went online for the app that goes with it and that reviewed well too with a 4.5 average (just like it has now).With this info in hand, I decided to buy it. Almost 2 years later, it is still working 100% perfectly. Never ever let us down even when traveling abroad and you want to just take a look at home from the app.The width of view is excellent. 120 degreePicks up any kind of movementStreaming quality is greatHas a mic where you can hear when people are around and what they are saying most of the time. The other great thing about the mic is that you can talk through your phone using the mic and it comes out of the camera! Perfect for when you're abroad and you want a conversation with one of your employees looking at the camera.Works perfectly with my Wi-Fi and this camera is about 25' from the router with the signal also having to go through 2 walls.Vision in low light and at night is excellent.The app works perfectly both on Android and ios as I started out with an android phone but now have an Iphone.Also, the desktop app on your PC and laptop works fantastic as well. Excellent picture quality and sound at all timesConnecting the cameras to your network is easy. Just follow the setup that is well detailed on the app.The price it is on Amazon is great. Free Could Storage? In your dreams...
In the description, it promised FREE cloud storage, which is the sole reason why I spent 80 dollars on a camera.But as turns out, the free storage does NOT work! On their webpage, you CAN NOT choose the free storage; you HAVE TO choose a subscription plan with monthly payment (4 dollars a month per camera for 24 hour storage, which is a total rip-off).This is false advertising! And I strongly protest again this kind of behavior.Ps, reason I gave 2 starts instead of 1 start, is because they did make the installation very easy and robust.

Great little camera!!
I started looking into surveillance cameras after getting a pup - I wanted to see what he was doing whenever I was at work. I now have 3 puppies and this camera has been my eyes on them. I've had this camera for about 7-8 months. Quality is good for what you pay and with Night Vision (see attached photos for night vision, natural lighting, and bulb lighting), VERY easy set-up (if you lose the wifi, it reconnects itself once the wifi becomes available again), and it's nice that you're able to talk on it.It's great that it pairs with Ivideon and I'm able to watch live at no extra charge. I have an office job with my own computer and I'm able to watch them all day if I chose to. The Ivideon app also lets me do this from my phone so I am able to literally watch my puppies from anywhere whenever I want. I used to have the motion notification on but I would get them constantly, all day, because my puppies of course didn't stay in place. I easily took that notification off. I also like that it saves 10-second clips under Events whenever movement is sensed.What I did notice though is that sometimes the camera saves 10-second clips every 20 minutes, but other times I won't see anything for a 2+ hour span (like shown on the last photo between 11:47am and 1:40pm that there was supposedly no activity) - so it doesn't catch certain events you may want to see that happened between those 2+ hours (unless you subscribe on Ivideon to save the whole recording, which I never found necessary for my use). For example, one time I checked the live stream and found one of the puppies on the other side of the gated area, with the gate still locked. Of course I wanted to find out how he did it. Did he jump over? Did someone open the gate and let him out and never put him back in? I tied to figure out what happened by going to the Events tab but found that the last 10-second clip recorded was from hours beforehand, when my puppy was still inside the gated area. But really for me this is not a huge issue - I think that if this is a big concern for some people then those people should subscribe and pay for the whole recording to be saved.

Issues with the Oco1
I have purchased four Oco1 cameras and one has already gone bad. After 4 months the camera in question went offline and i have set it up numerous times to no avail. I spoke to tech support 3 times and the same tech person would come up with a different excuse always blaming my internet router. In fact the other 3 cameras work with the same router. Update: I finally got rid of the remaining 3 Oco cameras and purchased the Cloud Cam. Connecting the cloud cam is easy and 1080 HD.After several attempts i was able to reconnect the camera. I will continue posting my opinion wether positive or negative.This camera finally failed to connect to the wifi even with the assistance of their customer service. It ended in the garbage, good for one year. Is better to pay more for a product that will last longer. ( amazon, ring and nest).

The order arrived very fast. It has a nice packaging. It's a great purchase for someone who is looking for a surveillance camera with super easy and fast set up. You don't need special knowledge and skills to do it. The instruction is very detailed and the installment process is very easy.It has night vision & motion detection. You can use it in your office or home. Can be used as a baby camera.The design is nice too which was an important feature for me as I wanted to make sure it is not very bulky.

How I have lived before without this camera??? This my third eye:) I have a Pomeranian dog at home. When we left him alone always I was interested in what he is doing. To be honest I nervous. May be he cried. It opened my eyes. I regret just about one thing that I had no before this kind of helper, when my son was a small. It wasn't problem for my husband to understand an instruction. Camera looks like very professional.

Disappointed
I was very excited at the beginning. Prior to buying, I read comparative reviews and selected this option as a balance of features, overall assessment by other reviewers, and price.The good:- easy setup,- clear/simple interface,- support team very quick to reply.The bad:- random disconnects - cameras go offline for no apparent reason. I was given a series of possible causes by the support team, but none check out, especially the internet speed: the upload internet speed should be above 1mbps. Mine is at 8mbps and the cameras still disconnect. But not from the WiFi router - they show up as connected on the router interface, but they appear "offline" in the app interface. The LED indicator on each camera sometimes does not even show there is an issue, so the user finds out the hard way - upon trying to access the live view.- video clips (10 second clips that do not require a subscription to a paid archive) are usually useless as the capture starts approx. 9 second before the actual event. So, the 10-second clips stop just before the triggering motion appears in the video clip.- the logic behind motion capture: per the support team, motion is identified as "new" and the recording/alert is triggered only after 5 minutes of no motion/sound. Real life example: motion was triggered when a person entered the field of view. The video clip (as mentioned above) did not even show it because it stopped the second the tip of the person's foot showed up on the screen. The subsequent fall, the frantic rush of the remaining occupants of the house, the arrival of paramedics - none of that was captured because the motion never stopped. And, given that the cameras disconnect randomly, I am not convinced that paying for a subscription plan - at the very minimum $4/month (or $40/year) PER CAMERA - would have guaranteed that any of this (or any other) incident would have been caught.- support team (quick to reply - yes; kind - yes; effective - sadly not).Bottom line:- although well intentioned (like all security surveillance systems), this one can only be labelled as "better than nothing".

It also comes with a very large USB cable for power The easy set up application has a various option to set up the camera. The video quality is good. Night vision is not great The short clip could be uploaded to the cloud for free. It offers two way audio but not at the same time (voice quality not great), and it does have some delay. For small places it good product. I'll recommend this camera for seeking home security solution.

We could not gt this to work
I am a VP of technology and I would not get this to work at all. My husband, father and I, (all tech-savvy) could not get this camera to work. This total waste of money and it sits in a drawer now like it did after we gave up trying to get this camera to work. Total waste of money - save yours buy something else.
