Low-Porosity hydration hero!
NOW Foods Vegetable Glycerin has been a game-changer for my type 4 low porosity hair, delivering moisture without making my strands feel heavy. It helps pull in moisture from the air, keeping my twists soft and my hair hydrated for days. I love blending it with rosewater and aloe vera juice for a lightweight, refreshing spritz that fights dryness throughout the day. It’s affordable, versatile, and a must-have for anyone looking to boost hydration without buildup. NOW Foods Vegetable Glycerin is the truth!

Must have for shower time
This product is simple and great. When skin is still damp after the shower, I apply oil and mix in about 4 drops for my body. It holds in moisture much more than just the oil would. I also use this product mixed with oil or toners on my face. Love it.

More ways to use glycerine for fingernails, skin, even teeth!
NOW products, in my experience, are excellent quality. This vegetable glycerine (AKA glycerin or glycerol) certainly is excellent. I use it as-is to condition my fingernails after removing polish. It quickly hydrates and moisturizes the nail bed and prepares it for another go-round with polish or nail treatments. You can even add it to your bottle of nail polish remover to make the remover less damaging to your nails. I also use it along with shea butter, cocoa butter, and sometimes coconut oil and avocado oil when I make my own lotions or creams. By whipping it into warmed shea butter, I can create the viscosity I want -- everything from almost liquid lotions to chunky squares (actually, I use a silicon tray with heart shapes) of moisturizing "butter."Some people mix it with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to make a teeth whitening toothpaste. I tried that but prefer my Colgate Optic White. There is a lot of misinformation about glycerine on the internet, so you can get bogged down in a lot of false leads if you're not careful. I could not find any scientific studies that supported the charge that glycerine damages teeth and I found articles by medical professionals that say it does not. In any event, I didn't like the homemade whitening toothpaste, but I did find a GREAT way to use it. Clinical (double-blind, etc.) studies show that arginine and calcium carbonate are good for teeth. So I took a couple of tablets of each, ground them up and mixed them into a paste with 2/3 ratio of glycerine. The "paste" that results makes teeth healthier and less likely to experience pain when whitening products are used.On my skin, I do not like the feel of glycerine when used undiluted; I always have to mix it with something. In fact, I have read from reliable sources that it can draw so much moisture from the lower layers of skin that it can cause blistering if used at 100%. I've never had that experience because I mix it with ingredients like shea and cocoa butters. That said, my nails and skin are healthier than ever and I'm saving money because I no longer buy commercial lotions. Glycerine is an emollient and humectant that is well-documented as a remedy for dry, rough, itchy skin and minor skin irritations such as diaper rash, so I know I am not just imagining a "placebo effect". As an ingredient that is found naturally in the skin and that helps skin retain its healthy, barrier function, it is very effective and very helpful. Love it!

Fantastic product, but...
This is an absolutely fantastic product for dry skin.I have some psoriasis in this really helps with pain in itching. The only thing I would change is the cap on the bottle. It currently has one of those caps you kind of press in on one side, and the other side flips up.It causes way too much mess and oozing when you squeeze it even just a little bit. It always drips down the side of the bottle. It needs to have a cap with like a flip top and a smaller hole. But the product of the quality itself is amazing!.If you have excessively dry skin, flaking, itching, this is the product for you.But keep in mind, it is thick and oily. So you'll have to put up with that... I just rub it in and wait a few minutes before coming in contact with anything I don't want oil on.It's definitely worth it in the long run.

I use on my feet
I use this on my feet to keep them super soft. You can also add some to your handsoap, or any other skincare product to give it a moisture boost. Good for dry skin. Don't put it directly on your face unless you dilute it in something else, but for your feet you can put it directly on under some socks. Works better than vaseline for soft feet

Long-Term Success with Vegetable Glycerin for Skin
I've been using Vegetable Glycerin mixed with Rose Water for quite some time now, and I'm very satisfied with the results. This combination is fantastic for skin care, providing excellent hydration without being overly sticky. It's gentle enough for my kids, and we've been using it for almost a year with no issues. The mixture helps to keep our skin soft and moisturized, making it a great solution for various skin concerns. The glycerin blends well with the rose water, creating a soothing and refreshing skincare product. It's especially useful for dry skin, and I've noticed a significant improvement in the texture and overall health of our skin. I highly recommend Vegetable Glycerin for anyone looking for a natural and effective addition to their skincare routine.
