A lot of makeup books fill up pages with the history of makeup and other unnecessary information that is trivial to me. This book delves straight into what tools you need, how to do it, and even a video to show you how it's done which is a huge bonus. This book shows you how to contour and highlight without looking fake (because this contour trend is getting out of control) and in a very user-friendly manner. I always love to learn new techniques and this book was very useful.

I didn't have anyone to teach me makeup growing up. I've picked up techniques here & there (thank you YouTube) but contour seemed too complicated & early exposure to 80s blush techniques had put me off blush. This book with step by step descriptions AND videos helped clear up my questions & gave me confidence to try these techniques.The only question left unanswered was "do you ever use blush while also using contouring techniques?" I'm sure the answer is somewhere on YouTube, lol.BTW, by signing up for the author's e-newsletter, I received a copy of her lip techniques book. Nice extra.

I don't know exactly what I was looking for, however I did not feel like I got it after I read this pamphlet...cause that's just what it was.

Concise and right to the point. Perfect for beginners and useful to get build your the basic understanding of contouring.

Short, but to the point, great info and contains links to view her applications online. I would recommend.
