This broth power is one of my favorites to cook with. It imparts a light meat flavor if you follow the instructions on the packet. I found myself adding about 25-50% more powder to get the flavor to as intense as I want it. I use it as bases for soup, flavoring soy curls, and tempeh marinade. The texture is pleasant and dissolves easily in warm/hot water. The package size lasts me about 5 months and I use it at least once a week. I’ll continue to buy.

It's high quality and a great value for the money - easy to store and keep fresh, too. I even use a small amount in soups that don't call for broth just to give a pop of flavor. We love this broth powder! I use it for soups, stews or gravy. Many times my husband just wants ahoy cup of broth & this is perfect! I’ve used this for decades!! It freezes very well when I order more than one package. 10/10!

Need a little something savory to perk up dinner? Then you should try these (vegetarian if my pref) broth powders by Frontier. The "chicken" is our fav and we like to mix a couple of tablespoons to a cup of hot water and add it to vegetables, soups, stews, gravies...just about anything! It can make anything taste better, and it doesn't take much for it to enhance whatever you're cooking. The vegetable flavor broth powder is also very good and also comes in low sodium (wish we could find the chicken in low-sodium as well!). A pound bag of this lasts us several months, making it more price efficient. This is our fourth bag of the "chicken" and it's pretty convincing and consistent in it's flavor. We even stirred a little in grits as they were cooking and they were awesome! Also great in scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes, and rice.

Overall happy with it. Taste was fine, just uses a lot of powder for 1 cup of broth, so the bag didn't last as long as I initially expected. Grateful for easy vegan options, very easy to add flavor to dishes & make a soup base for dinner

Best vegan substitute for chicken broth

No. This might be okay as a vegetable bouillon, but no way does it work as a vegan sub for 'chicken' bouillon. It's VERY, very sweet. As a comparison, the brand I love (which comes from Australia, and isn't available recently) is ZERO sugar. This one has 9 grams for 1.3 tablespoons. All you can really taste is sugar. I wanted to love this, but don't do it.

We’ve used this no-chicken vege broth powder for over 25 years … it still tastes great … I mostly use it to add to boiling water to cook rice in, as a flavor enhancer, and as chicken flavored stock for small batch soups … nice thing about using it is no worries when you have vegetarian guests … still a wicked good product
