Thai Home Red Curry Paste. 6.5 Oz

Hello, my name is Ryan and I am a chef and restaurant owner. I enjoy developing my culinary skills and really enjoy making very authentic foods from various regions. I love Thai food, and live in a relatively remote area so there isn't any Thai food locally and nowhere to really get good products from either. Thank you Amazon.So, this Red Curry Paste is great! Short of making my own, this is the best I've tried. Much better than anything in the local groceries and probably better than most anywhere. As far as heat is concerned I found it very reasonable. It all is relative to how much you use. Generally speaking the level of flavor and heat are pretty much tied together in curry pastes so if you want more curry flavor and add more to your recipe you are increasing the level of heat as well. Hard to avoid unless you make your own. This has a friendly level of heat, it lets you know its there with out being rude. I always like to make my curries family friendly and then add dry spice and peppers to my own dish. My family appreciates it too because I like hot and spicy whatever.

I chose this curry because I was looking for one with less sodium being that I have high blood pressure! This flavor is good without the detrimental effects of the high sodium found in other curries. This is DEFINITELY a winner!!

I may have actually put more than I should have in the Thai Red Curry Soup. My ingredients list called for three tablespoons of the Thai Kitchen brand. This stuff packs a punch. My kids are not big spice enthusiasts, but they sniffled right along and finished what was in their bowls. And even got seconds! I can hold my own in the spice department and this had plenty of heat for me. But what really stood out was the flavor. Very robust, very Thai, very curry. Delicious!

This product delivered the flavor I was looking for in a chicken/vegie curry; however, be forewarned! This is hot stuff and must be added to your recipe 1/4 teaspoon at a time. In order to preserve it, I froze small very small amounts inan ice tray & bagged it.

By far the best curries I have had! A couple of spoons of the paste and you get the delicious taste!! I have ordered all four curries from this vendor and all of them tastes great!

This paste is the best. I am giving a one star because they shipped me an expired jar. Just tough in today's environment when you are waiting days to weeks for certain food items and it comes expired.

Great for adding to Thai recipes
