I didn't think it was possible for any book written by Lauren Landish to outdo the previous book, but Scorpio has proven me wrong! This super hot and steamy page turner kept me riveted to this book until the very last word. The only thing that I was unhappy about with this book was that it ended and now I have to wait for another book from Lauren. That being said, and no spoilers here, the characters are wonderful and draw you into their drama as if you were actually there. Here you have a second chance at love, the main characters aside from the barroom setting would otherwise be unlikely to cross paths and have destiny take over, electricity, chemistry, drama, engaging, (I'm running out of descriptors) call it what you will, this story tugs on your emotions in every direction, and that is what is so wonderful about the author's stories, the tomes she pens are always engaging and never disappointing. Scorpio is another sexy, emotional sweet, and romantic book by Lauren Landish. I found the added portion of the horoscopes in each chapter to be very nice. This is Madison and Scott’s story. These two are as different as two people can be. Madison is a hard-working bartender that has been burned throughout her entire life. Maddison is just getting over a terrible breakup when she meets Scott at her bar.Scott on the other is rich. Even though he grew up with money and a family they didn’t have a true family dynamic. Their father always had them pitted against each other. So as siblings they have no notion how to act as such.It took me a little while to connect to the story but once I did, I was completely wrapped in it. It was funny as hell and a really good read. It gave me a modern-day Cinderella or even Pretty Woman and even better 50 Shades type vibes.

I’ve been having a very difficult time with contemporary romances, and then this little wonder, SCORPIO, comes along! I will admit that the cover was part of why I chose to read SCORPIO (hey, just look at it!), the blurb sounded fun, and I just hoped against all hopes, and what do you know! Lauren Landish has reconciled me with contemporary romance! I loved Madison Parker from the first page: she’s a Dolly Parton fan, wears too much makeup, but she’s all heart. I loved seeing her interact with her best friend Tiffany; the friendship felt real, and the dialogues are brilliant. I loved that the horoscope thing is taken lightly, it does play a part, but a realistic one.Scott Danger! Swoon! Now, people, this is how one writes a confident alpha wealthy hottie: Scott – the SCORPIO – comes off as a real person, if not from the same world as Madison, who works as a barmaid in a little joint. That he’s rich and she’s not is an issue, but it’s not taken to the extreme; there is none of the eye-rolling stuff that too many authors use as a tiring and endless conflict. They do fall in love, and I believed in that attraction, in that infatuation, which slowly morphs into love, true love. Their chemistry is off the charts, and it always feels real. I almost never wish to trade places with the heroine in a novel, I almost never wish I could live in the book, but with SCORPIO I did – for the most part anyway!Scott and Madison date, they work, we actually see them at work! – and both their occupations play important parts in the narrative. I love their backstories – and Scott’s was rather mind-boggling. SCORPIO is a fabulous romance, with minimal angst, but not without drama, everything is perfectly paced and balanced, and there is a solid story in there as well. Ms. Landish’s writing is smooth, modern, very eloquent; her characters are admirable creations: they are people we know, the friends we would like to have, they are those people we intensely dislike, and the romance we wish for ourselves. I can hardly wait to see what Lauren Landish will come up with next, because I am eagerly awaiting that next book!

Not the best L.L. book - a little amateurish but okay. Not the worst book but definitely could have been better. Surprised this was published in 2018, just didn’t feel like Ms. Landish actually pen this novel. Thought storyline was weak and somewhat juvenile compared to her other novels. Part of me wished that I skipped this one...oh well, on to the next one.

This was truly a magnificent read. I absolutely loved it. From the beginning to the epilogues. It was a true gem. I'm thankful there was no drama. I don't mind some but it had a no room for it in this book. I loved how Scott was with Madison. He absolutely loved her and it showed. I wasn't exactly happy with what he did but I understood. Maddie was a strong h and it showed. She didn't take crap from anyone. Scott or her bestie, Tiff. I'm really glad that the dogs were written into the story. It broke up the seriousness that followed. I thought the pooper scooper was hilarious. It really made the story.This was one really smoking hot read. It was a breath of fresh air. It was simply fantastic. It was wonderful, tantalizing, and erotic. I was hooked from the word go. Lauren Landish is my hero. I am in love with her writing. Every thing she's written has been a masterpiece. This one included. This was an incredible read.I'd highly recommend!

Another great read that I couldn’t stop reading. Madison has been burned before by an ex and doesn’t want too be burned again. Going to a fortune teller freaks Madison out but what she says comes true when she meets Scott. Scott & Madison have a connection they both can’t deny but Madison is guarded. Scott will do anything to prove how much they belong together but it could backfire. Great read with great characters that I really enjoyed.

Always love Lauren's work and loved Scorpio as expected. It was different with all the astrological predictions. It is shown well that not everything should be taken negatively.It is shown really well by the author that when we have insecurities and fears from the past people fear taking chances even when it could lead to an incredible future.It was good to read how Scott and Madison let go of their fears and give a chance to their future.It was a good read.

Maddison didn’t have a very good start in life ,abandoned by her mother Maddie was left with her Aunt who gave her a loving albeit not conventional upbringing. All grown up now and just left an abusive violent partner , Maddison finds herself trying to get her life back on track again . Maddison lives with her best freind Tiffany both girls work at Stella’s which is a honky tonk bar, having seen the state Maddie was in just after she left her violent partner , the owner Stella feels very protective towards her . When not working Maddie helps out at her Aunt’s dog rescue centre , where sometimes Tiffany goes with her. To try to get Maddie move on Tiff comes up with an idea and takes her to a psychic , the psychic gives Maddie a prediction which unsettles her. Whilst the prediction is still very fresh in her memory she meets the very handsome Scott when he comes into the bar one night , from the first meeting it’s plain to see both are strongly attracted to one another. Scott though comes from a very wealthy family , his parents are divorced and neither would win parent of the year. Together with his elder brother Chase and sister Olivia they work for their obnoxious domineering father , which is not easy at all as their father favours Chase his eldest son and doesn’t hold back in letting Scott know . It’s a very well written love story but both Scott & Maddison have a lot of hurdles and drama to contend with . Will there be a HEA for Scott & Maddison ? ......I think you can guess the answer to that ,all in all it’s a very enjoyable extremely hot 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😍😍😍 read .

Scorpio is the enthralling tale of Scott and Maddie. They both have isses stemming from the past but they have instant chemistry. They are both strong interesting characters and the supporting cast really help to make the book interesting. Can they overcome the obstacles placed in their way and their issues from the past or will they be overwhelmed by them? Loved the book and will certainly be rereading. Also proves that fate does play a role in things.

This book is about a rich close to being a CEO businessman and a bartender. When Scott first sees Maddie he immediately falls for her but she's hesitant because of a psychic reading she got a few days prior. Eventually she gives in and their beautiful romance begins but....there's definitely obstacles they face and have to overcome. I enjoyed this read and the hot sexy scenes between these two.

Another fantastic story from Lauren Landish. I love her books and style of writing, this one didn't disappoint!
