Bought a competitor's version based on the expert advice of a Best Buy clerk. I spent hours trying to make it work before finally returning it to Best Buy. I bought this RTL8812AU a month later figuring I could return it, too. HOWEVER, no need to return! Within 5 minutes of taking the dongle out of the box, I was connected to my WIFI. Works great. No hassle!I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium.

I really like the fact that this worked well with one of my Linux builds without issues. I would recommend again.

Peace of crap won’t buy again ever.

Initially this wireless adapter worked great. Last month I noticed my computer was getting slower and slower, not just online but with apps. Felt like someone was accessing my computer. I removed it and went back to Ethernet and all is fine. My original wireless adapter stopped working so that's why I purchased this adapter.

Pros: cheapCons: could not get working with windows or Linux. Linux couldn't even see it and this card was hyped up to work well with Linux. Had to return because that was the main reason to purchase. In windows it failed to connect to any of my 12 APs.

I like the performance of this product and right now my laptop is connected to WiFi using the 5.8GHz band. I recommend this device.
