Great Companion to Bulletproof Diet book!!
1. I'm no newbie to the world of low carb/paleo/primal, etc. When I've worked on losing weight in the past, it has been a struggle and the older I get the less quickly my body responds to low carb and dieting in general. I was not expecting anything more when reading about and embarking on Bulletproof, but I've been blown away! Not only did I start losing weight right away, I did not crave sugar or really anything, and I'm feeling much better than I have for a while.2. I used to work in catering/personal chef and taught cooking, so I have bought A LOT of cookbooks. The balance that I think is important in writing recipes for people who are changing their eating habits a) make them uncomplicated (so that you're not constantly thinking about food!), b) fairly easy to source ingredients (ever read diet recipes and go "what the hell is that and where am I supposed to buy it?!) and c) flavorful enough that you don't feel like a martyr.3. If you're thinking of doing this, don't just "dabble" and then complain if it doesn't work for you. Read The Bulletproof Diet, there are explanations and valid research backing up the ideas, and follow it for a while.

If you don't like salmon, trout and LOTS of exotic vegetables...keep on movin'
I gave the book to a friend because I only found 7 recipes with ingredients that I like. Yeh, I'm a picky eater, but damn! Salmon this, salmon that, trout, salmon again. And then there's a recipe for cold lettuce soup! GTFOH! LMAO. I love his other book "Bulletproof Diet" though. And next, I'll read his book "Super Human."

Meh. Not what I expected.
I am a fan of the Bulletproof lifestyle- BP coffee daily and BP intermittent fasting 5x a week. Still, this book is MEH. I would say this book is more of an attempt to have a new book out there than it is to offer new information. I would call this more of an "assembly book" than a "cookbook." Asparagus and Soft Boiled Eggs is an assembly, not a "recipe", and definitely something I don't need a cookbook to come up with. Salmon with capers and lemon juice? Wow. Groundbreaking... Compound butter with herbs isn't a recipe I paid money to discover. Save your money or buy his other book, "The Bulletproof Diet" for a better bang for your buck. The chapters are titled as such:MainsSides/SaladsSoups/BrothLattes/SmoothieDessertsSalt/Butter/CondimentsHe repeats a lot of information from his podcasts and previous book. He basically takes the ingredients he has been talking about forever and tries to pass them off as "new recipes". He promotes a lot of his branded products, which doesn't bother me, but it might some people. I was slightly disappointed with the book overall. You would be better off looking for recipes on the internet and making them BP with your own modifications, per your palate. This book isn't going to help that much.

Just what I was looking for!
I've been somewhat keeping my weight under control with Atkins and Paleo, but I would get so hungry. It seemed to me the more I ate the more I wanted to eat. So I would start food deprivation to get it back under control.2 meals a day, a period of fasting, butter coffee in the morning is a perfect plan. Eat until satiated, don't count any calories, stick to the good fats and enjoy your food while shedding unwanted pounds. The recipes are easy, you just need to gather the ingredients and do it. I feel so good I don't even want to eat out. I do what is suggested when I'm hungry and it works, no need to eat!

Excellent Cookbook
Excellent cookbook. I wish it had a shopping list; that would make like so much easier. I have made many of the recipes in the book, they have all been delicious so far. A nice variety of recipes; well worth the cost.

In order to save money on printing they grouped the photography in sections so you see a bunch of pictures then you have to flip to the recipe.I didnt appreciate that much. Just charge what you need to charge for the book to have recipe and corresponding picture. I find that to be a little frustrating. I purchased this from Dave Asprey's site. Not amazon.

Get a real cookbook, not this "advert masquerading as a cookbook"...
"Based on what evidence" was what I was thinking when I was reading the book. It could have done with lists of sources for his claims, some of which shows his lack of knowledge about certain subjects. GMO springs to mind immediately. It would be really useful if the author had provided sound reasoning and evidence for his assertions other than "Toxins bad" (we know this) and "Hey, it felt good to eat this thing" (Fair, I eat things that feel good too) and "Hey buy my stuff, buy all the Bulletproof stuff"...Jus' sayin'...It really felt like a glorified ad for his bulletproof products. Which is fine, if that is what it is.I gave it two stars because it does have recipes in it, and he does recommend some things that are accurate, such as eating organic and local. Other than that, not really worth getting, get a proper cook book like "Feeding Hannibal" instead. It will be much more satisfying.

Start a Bulletproof Lifestyle with this book.
Already wrote a review for the diet book, saying to buy both together to fully follow the Bulletproof lifestyle. The recipes are tasty and the four I’ve tried are quick and simple. For example the Kale Carbonara the only skill required is cracking and separating an egg so not difficult as a reviewer said. Originally followed the recommendation of Tom Watson the ex-Labour Deputy Leader. It was a good recommendation. Had the Bulletproof Coffee and was fuelled until I had a late lunch at 3 without hunger. Also not too expensive. For example 2 cucumbers 50p 5 avocados £1 from a market stall. Many days of chilled soup and guacamole. Eat to the season and check out the reduced cabinet for grass-fed named breed mince like Aberdeen Angus from Tesco and Hereford from Co-op. It’s doable if you’re flexible in your meal plans. No liver. A big omission as that’s a nutrition powerhouse, but in the first book Mr Asprey says he doesn’t like liver. Lots of alternative recipes for comfort food treats. Brought second hand - impeccable condition.

I have to say I was disappointed in this book
Having been bulletproof for several months, I have to say I was disappointed in this book. I would say save your money and have google as your friend! Nothing wrong with the book or recipes, but you can easily find them or similar on the internet.

Bit of a waste of money if you have the original Bulletproof Diet book
I thought this cookbook was overpriced. I would have rather seen a slightly more expensive version of The Bulletproof Diet book with all of these recipes in rather than this additional book as there is a lot of duplication in the information. In hindsight I wish I had purchased a second hand copy.

Nice but very confusing.
Nice cook book, well written, but what a shame that it only uses american measure units and unnecessarily long ingredients names (like 'upgraded, mould free, something something vanilla powder like Bulletproof VanillaMax' or thereabout). Dificulties don't end there - some products are meant to be powders but we only have them in solid or liquid form in the UK, so measurements are on spoons instead gramms - wqhere it could have easily been both. Some other veg ingredients are oddly named for the UK market.
