Plants are glued in to container!
I wanted to like these so much. The containers are delightful however the four plants arrived glued in to the containers. Literally had glue holding them in place. This meant that the plants couldn't be removed without ripping the leaves. It also meant that there was glue all over the plants. It's important to know that if the air plants are left glued into the containers they will rot. They have to be removed when you water them, and then allowed to dry before being put back into the containers. Some of the glue had hardened which made them impossible to remove without damaging the plants, however even worse is that perhaps because it was a hot day some of the glue was wet and covering everything. It's like Elmer's glue - white and runny. Once I pried the plants loose, with substantial damage to the plants, I then had to try to wash the glue off of the remaining portion of each plant in the hope of salvaging them. In the process of getting the plants and the glue out of the container I ended up with wet glue on the outside of the container too! Have you ever tried to wash wet glue off of something? Off of a tiny little plant? Seriously, I am so sorry that this is how these arrived as I really, really like the idea of them. The containers are whimsical and perfectly fit the plants, which isn't always the case with some airplant-container combos. The plants looked quite healthy - until I had to tear them out of the containers. There's absolutely no reason to put glue on plants. These plants could easily have been shipped without the glue, and likely would have stayed in their containers during the shipping because they fit the containers well. I got these as a gift, and now I don't feel that I can give the gift on time because I don't know if the plants will die or survive after having been ripped out of the containers. My fingers are crossed that they'll survive, in which case I will get to have these for myself but I still have to find another gift. Another purchaser mentioned being able to remove the plants from the glue by carefully inserting a screwdriver. Sounds like the approach worked out ok for that person, but I tried a screwdriver too and it didn't work. Perhaps if you had a really small flat-head screwdriver? Hopefully, going forward the merchant will decide to skip the glue as it's totally not needed. It does sounds as if not all purchasers had this experience, so perhaps this is an extreme example of what can go wrong but regardless, no need to put glue on plants. I hope others have a better experience because these really do look great. ADDED COMMENT - We're now two weeks out and two of the plants are dead. They were never able to recover from the glue. Basically, what we paid for are the nice little containers but the plants themselves are hopeless. Looking for plants from another vendor that are small enough to replace these, as these are smaller than most others and the "hole" in which they sit in the container is also very small. Such a great concept but a huge disappointment in reality.

Not happy
****Update: I have changed my review as I am pretty disappointed. The air plant is glued into the head. Just after a few weeks mine Are dying and almost dead. I am not sure why as air plants are pretty simpleTo care for.first saw one of these in a doctors office and I knew I had to get them. I absolutely love them they are the cutest coolest little things I’ve ever seen. Somehow I ended up getting the second delivery of them two by mistake but I’m not complaining because I absolutely love them
