This has a good picture and is decent quality. What I did not like about it is there is not a way to turn the guide lines off. I like the sleek design and unobtrusive mounting

Most importantly, I wasn’t able to make this camera and the many others like it that are for sale online actually function for more than 24 hours. I have a Pioneer NEX8300 head unit with more video inputs than I can count. It is a perfect setup for a backup camera and fully integrates with the camera for reverse sensing to automatically display the camera feed on it’s screen.I think the issue with this camera is the wiring that’s included. The power wire and trigger wire are both of the poorest quality. When stripping the end off for connection to the reverse tail light wire I immediately noticed how stiff and brittle the rubber insulation was and thought that it may even be plastic shielding. There are about 4 cooper strands inside of the wire to send power back and forth. I was hesitant to waste a few hours Installing this camera and wiring, but I went ahead and gave it a shot.I was able to fairly easily install this backup camera and it worked well for the first few times I drove. The next day my screen was black and that was all she wrote. I attempted to check all connections and wiring again but nothing was out of the ordinary.It’s worth noting that the instructions really need to be updated and more detailed. They are hard to understand when performing an installation so precise. Luckily there are YouTube videos to show how the install is done. I highly recommend viewing those YouTube videos before installing this item and potentially wiring the camera with more adequate wiring.

The back up camera works great during the day. The problem is a nite you are not able to see well, The led lights on the camera is too strong and you are not able to see image well.

It worked well for us. It was a good price. We just wanted to be able to see and be safe. The size was perfect. It was easy to install.

I generally hook these up so that I can view them anytime. Although manufactures are supposed to allow them to be on only when in reverse they aren't any more distracting than the rearview mirror. So while this was easy to install I found that the eight bright white LEDs are always on which would be a distraction for someone behind you and possibly a violation. So I had to spend time re-wiring this to run only when in reverse.The picture quality is good, clear enough to identify what is behind you. But where is the night vision? Night vision is a special type of light not regular bright white LEDs. In fact, the backup lights on the car are brighter and add more light than the LEDs on this thing.For picture quality I would give this 4 stars but because it is advertised as having night vision but doesn't and the LEDs make it worse I can't recommend this.

It's a good quality camera with a good video but it is a very basic functioning camera that is tricky to install if you have never done it before.This item is good quality and it is very much worth the purchase. It arrived in good condition and I have found no flaws with the product and I fully recommend it.
