Great image; poor lifespan
I really liked this monitor, except it died after a year. Just refused to turn on one day. Which is a shame because the image was very sharp.

Looks good sitting on a desk, but that's about it
Pros: It's large, has very slim bezels, and gets you 1440p for less than $200.Cons: unusable due to poor viewing angles that appear to be worse than non-IPS.Like the previous reviewer, I also wish I had known this monitor had a glossy screen. Technically, it does say in the description that it is has an "AH-IPS Glare Panel." Still, this probably would not have impacted my buying decision as I am using this with a 2015 MacBook Pro which also has a glossy screen. But, coupled with the contrast/viewing angle issues this makes the monitor unusable for me.I was aware that with such a large screen size the contrast might appear different towards the edges. Upon using it however, even in a dimply lit room it bothered my eyes greatly. You don’t have to so much as move you head or look at the corners of the screen to see different shades of colors (especially darker ones). I’m guessing the distance between my eyes must be great enough for each one to see a different contrast level. Looking straight on from a couple of feet away felt like looking at a really cheap LCD display, like old flip phones that had huge contrast shifts as you moved them around. This is after adjusting all the monitor’s display settings and even changing the display profile in MacOS. Factor in even the smallest amount of glare, and it was enough for me to return it.In the monitor’s defense, the MacBook’s Rentina display is on of its best features, and most screens (especially ones larger than 24”) will suffer from some level of contrast shift resulting in poor viewing angles. However, this is suppose to be the benefit of an IPS panel, along with better colors compared to a cheaper TN panel. Colors are fine, but become crippled by such horrible viewing angles. I can’t imagine this not being an issue for everyone, although it did not bother my fiancé as strongly as it did me.To be certain that my expectations weren’t just too high thanks to my MacBook, I also tried the LG 32UD59-B 32” 4K UHD LED-Lit Monitor which is not IPS. First, the higher resolution is completely worth it. Although, this is no fault of the Newsync since it is only 1440p. Second, the viewing angles were much, much better. Granted it costs almost $200 more, but at least it’s useable. Since I was now in this price range I wondered what a true IPS panel would be like, and purchased the LG 27UK600-W 27" IPS LED 4K UHD Monitor for $400 from BestBuy. This true IPS monitor from LG was exactly what I was hoping for from the beginning. Almost no contrast shifting compared to either of the other monitors, even from less than a foot away. Despite initially wanting to spend under $200 it was an easy decision to fork over twice as much for something sooo much better.I should mention that I really liked the construction of the Newsync monitor and base. Both look very good for the price. If you’re going to wall-mount it though, it starts to feel flimsy when adjusting the tilt because it mounts at the base. Since the monitor utilizes the smaller 75mm VESA mounts holes this causes the mount to stick out the bottom slightly because most mounts also have holes for 100mm.1 and 2 star reviews of cheaper products on Amazon are too often entirely dismissible due to unique product failures, shipment errors, and wrong expectations. In this case, the very low price of this brand of monitor definitely warrants some extra scrutiny of negative reviews. You get 1440p for less than $200. But, because the display quality appears to be worse than even non-IPS displays, I am giving it 2 stars. If it wasn't under $200 I would only give it a single star.

I really really wanted to like this
So seeing the other two reviews I thought it would be "good enough" for a work monitor where it would be no gaming and just web and office products. Build quality I did like the metal stand seemed nice, but thats where I began to have issues. The first monitor I got had a line down the middle of the screen and my graphics card in my office computer didn't see it as a QHD monitor but I could manually set it and it did work. I contacted amazon and they sent me a second monitor and this time I tried it out my house on my main desktop that has a GTX 1070 8Gb card that is running my two 4k monitors (that are getting on up there in age and are not "high end"). After trying for about an hour to match the color on my samsung monitors (that I didn't touch any settings out of the box) I decided to return the monitor and spend the extra money and go to a name brand monitor. For me I knew looking at this monitor 5+ hours a day would kill me, but I think for a spare or side monitor this is a great fit. I have 1080P vertical monitors that display stats and other info that I need to look at and this monitor would be great for that. I am giving it 3 stars since if its not a primary monitor its a good deal for the price. But if this is your main monitor spend $60 more and get something thats better overall....

Know What You Are Buying
This will be a two part review:Part One (Know What You Are Buying): Since the size for the price is tempting but you can't see it in person before buying, it is necessary to know what exactly you are getting. This (Model B2775) is a glossy screen, not matte. The other similar model for the same prize (Model B275) is a matte screen. I wanted a glossy screen, that is why I chose this model. My Usage: Graphic editing creation. The Good: This monitor does have a high contrast ratio. Blacks look black, not dark grey. OSD settings override giving you much more user setting freedom. Since the resolution is 1440, you will not get that annoying LED ISP white glow seen on 1080 resolution. Whites render without the glow since it's got way more pixels. - The Bad (depending on how picky you may be): Colors are not automatically set for you. You will have to play with all the OSD settings to reach a desired user setting. You will need a color calibrator to get colors right for color accuracy. The manual OSD buttons are a bit confusing to get used to, but it's manageable.Be back with part two will be after I do a color calibration...

Pros and Cons, and my wish list..
I have to say, this rating for me was hard and I will explain why. 1st the likes - I love the size of the screen, the resolution of wqhd is great! Like the fact that it has speakers, display port inputs and that the mount tilts. This item was easy to setup, windows 10 recognized the screen and made changes accordingly. What I dislike - wish I knew the screen was not a matte finish, it's glossy so you get slot of reflections on there, wish the speakers were a 5w speakers (especially for the price), also since this is a China manufacturer you will get a power brick and a 220 cord with an adapter for 110, the adapter doesn't secure on properly, so I did away with it and got a regular power monitor 110v cord. So all in all the resolution of wqhd is great, live it, just wish they would improve the rest of the items on my list here, I would definitely be more satisfied with putting out $200+ on a 27" inch monitor. Hope this helps your buying decision.
