Love Your Hair Kindle Edition

My little girl LOVES this book! I brought this for my 4 year old daughter to helpencourage her to love herself when she looks in the mirror, from her kinky curlynatural hair to her beautiful brown skin. I must say that I personally loved and wasreally impressed by how the illustrations in the book are so adorable and vibrantand the story was very fun and engaging. My daughter even asked me to buy anextra copy of this book so she could gift it to her best friend who is biracial. Ihighly recommend.

Bought about year ago but my daughter has little interest. She’s almost 6 now and brought it to me today and asked me to read to her. She is biracial and has always gotten a lot of attention for her hair. This book was perfect in acknowledging the many comments she may get as well as thoughts she may have and not be able to yet express yet. Thank you for this book and helping my daughter to love her hair!

Excellent book for babies. My Granddaughter’s favorite book. She started reading this book before she was 6months old and she will have you read it 100 times if you allow her.

This book has been a wonderful book for my 4 year old little girl. She's been struggling with her hair being different from mine, all her friends and of course all the Disney princesses. This book has helped her 'love her hair' and she's very excited about having long hair and this book encourages you to love your hair if you want it to grow.Thank you for writing such an empowering book for girls with beautiful curls!!

So, I was shocked when my daughter told me fuzzy hair just wasn't her thing. This book helped her see her hair is beautiful and affirmed the positive images of black hair we try to portray to her. So, thank you Dr. Austin for writing this book. We will cherish this and re-read it often.

First, I am bias because I am an infant and toddler teacher. I have been teaching for 15 years and as an African American male teacher, it is great to see book I can use in my classroom that represent the children I am teaching. I used it for two weeks during black history month and suggested to all the parents to get it. One of the best loves is self love.

I read it to my daughter before she went to sleep. And yes she has a lot of hair lol! Needless to say she loved it.

I think this a very nicely illustrated book. The pictures are so adorable!

Love this book. Purchased for my little princess who has just turned 7. She didn't like her hair much because it is 'different' to her school friends. I'd been doing it in cornrows for a few months and took it out recently. She had her hair out but was still a little unsure so I found this book! She read it, she loves it and now she LOVES her hair. Highly recommended!! It's a fun read and gets the message across.
