Okay....
*SPOILER ALERT*So I've read all 3 books and I'm happy I did. I am not happy about the way the story was told by the author because Angela came across as a but of an a$$hole, but overall it was interesting.Book 1 had me curious, Book 2 annoyed the crap out of me and Book 3 made it right. My question is why did the author introduce Connor as a half interested spy. There was no indication that he was really interested in Angela. He knew who she was before he met, yet he maintained perfect control. Then he forces her to leave and stays away under the instruction of Marie.... Difficult to process.... I found it difficult to understand ....SighAll in all it ended well and everything was explained, but it was a difficult read.Did I enjoy it? Not really.... I just had to satisfy my curiosity. Not horrible but not satisfying.

Great finish for the opening trilogy of this series!
Darknight is the final book in the trilogy that begins the Witches of Cleopatra Hill series. Angela and Connor are together and leading their respective witch clans, but the Wilcox curse looms over them. Every primus of Jeremiah Wilcox’s line has been doomed to lose the mother of his child to an early, tragic death. With Angela pregnant, they race to try to break the curse, taking them back to Angela’s origins. It was great to see Angela and Connor working together and coming into their own as the leaders of their clans. We get some more history of the members of both clans, and find out more about Angela’s mother and her previously nonexistent father. Finally, this book doesn’t end in a cliffhanger! The conflicts of the previous two books of the trilogy are all resolved. This trilogy was a great set-up for the rest of the Witches of Cleopatra Hill series.

I wish that she continued their story after this
I really liked the first book which I got for free in the Paranormal 13 featuring multiple authors. It was the first book and I liked it so much I had to stop reading those and finish this series. I read DrakMoon and DarkNight. I can understand some of the other reviews because if you read book one you are not expecting the next books to be more like adult romance books. Having grown up with them though I rather liked it. She put just the correct amount of romance in there without us losing the story. Christine made her characters full and relate-able. I would have liked the ending to go on a little longer give some "after" details. Maybe give us some insight into the future a bit.

This is the third and final book in this series, and while the story was written well enough that pushed me through all three books, it is only because they were short books that I made it. There was always a hint that something was going to happen, but most of the time it fell flat. The majority of each book was day to day life. Had dinner, went shopping....I didn't need a description of each and every meal. LOL Most of the action was saved to the very end and was over in a couple paragraphs. The story line itself was fun, and I liked the characters (for the most part). But the author seemed more in tune with the day to day mundane life than anything that really made the books exciting. You have powerful witches, despite all intents and purposes, that don't seem to have any actual powers. I guess I'm more accustomed to strong and powerful characters from authors like J.R. Ward and Christine Feehan. In these books, there was not enough action to call it an action, not enough romance to call it a romance; I'm unclear where they fall. While it did keep me interested enough to see it through all three books, I walked away undecided if I liked them or if I had wasted my time. If they had been long books, I think I'd lean toward the latter.

Heartpounding Ending to The Witches of Cleopatra Hill Series
This was an amazing end to a great series. If you haven't read The Witches of Cleopatra Hill Series, you need to pick these books up now! This final book in the series has twists, turns, and both heartbreaking and heart-lifting moments, so trust me, you won't be disappointed. After the shocking end to Darknight, Ms. Pope delivers a very satisfying conclusion to the story and wraps up all the loose ends. Ms. Pope's writing is simply extraordinary, and will sweep you into the world of witches and warlocks of Arizona, California, and even bring you into the Navajo world. I loved learning more about all the different clans, and how different the clans were from both the Wilcox's and McAllister's.One of my favorite parts of this novel was Angela. She has been a favorite character of mine since the beginning, but she truly comes into her own in this novel. I loved how well she embraced her powers, and strived to learn more about not only make herself stronger, but also to resolve the major situation at hand. Angela is fighting against the clock in this novel, and as time counts down, she makes decisions that effect everyone around her. She is such a strong, brave heroine that never loses her sense of humor or sass even when the outlook to the situation is downright depressing. Connor comes back very quickly, and his character is better than ever. The romance between Connor and Angela is hot and steamy, but they balance each other out in regular life so well. They are definitely meant for each other, and you can easily tell how much they both truly care for each other. Despite the bleak future that they face, they never let it get them down. They fight together, and come out even stronger.Set against several beautiful backdrops, Darkmoon is a fabulous adventure that will take you on an exciting thrill ride- one you will never want to get off of. As I said, all the loose ends are tied up, you find out even more information surrounding the Wilcox clan, and there are plenty of jaw dropping moments that will leave you stunned. You think you know things now and have it all figured out? Trust me, you have no idea what's about to happen. I highly recommend reading this book (and the series in general) if you are a fan of Ms. Pope, or just looking for a great witch/warlock story. Happy reading :)

Great trilogy
I really enjoyed reading this trilogy, which I read straight through. The first book was a little slow getting going, but this is where the author built the background & details needed for the three books. I thought it was very well written & all the characters were well bodied, not just the main two characters as some authors do. There were a few things I wasn't expecting, but ending to the main plot I had been waiting for since book two. That said it was well executed & there was a nice little twist in it. I'm finding it difficult not to give away what happened along the journey Angela & Connor took, so I recommend reading yourself to find out, I don't think you will regret it.Just a note, unlike some trilogies you can not read this without reading the other two, as 2 & 3 literally start in the same scene as the previous book ended, so you would have no idea what was going on! I have seen there are two more books in the series, but with different main characters, so the first three books can stand alone as a trilogy if you don't wish to read the final two books.

Pleasant but no real tension
I kept waiting for the series to ramp up but was ultimately left disappointed. The characters are a tad too lightweight, especially when the series is titled "Dark .....", and you just knew that whatever problems came their way would be solved in a relatively easy fashion. A pleasant enough read if you don't want to be challenged.

A wonderful romantic story. Wish there had been more to the issue between Jeremiah and nizhoni more magical happenings, but still a great read. Xx
