Boyt HarnessThompson Contender Case

Roomy and Priced Right
This is clearly a heavy-duty, well-constructed handgun case. My personal Contender G2 is a scoped Super 14 in .22LR; it fits with room for me to also easily toss in my safety glasses, a pack of foam earplugs, and a fifty-round box of ammo for the range. Since this is all I personally need for a practice-session, the case therefore also doubles as my range-bag. (Note that my Contender is all-stainless and fitted out with a plastic, scar-resistant grip and fore-end; people with fancy wood and bluing exposed to rubbing against other items will _not_ want to attempt this. Or, at least, will want to employ a padded inner case or something. To be clear, there are no internal subdivisions, just a single large open pocket meant for the gun alone.) My Super 14 fits well, and while I can't say for sure a 15" custom barrel might maybe be okay as well. An out-of-state friend owns a 15" Encore; if the opportunity to test-fit it in this case should ever by chance arise I'll update this review.I can see why this case is sold out all the time. It's not only a good buy, but if there's a viable alternative out there at anything like the price I failed to find it. The Contender is a unique firearm and therefore demands unique, sometimes hard-to-find accessories. This, apparently, is just about the only option on today's market. I'm just grateful that it's a perfectly good one.

Great Case for Henry AR-7!
Based on the dimensions of this case, I took a chance that this would be suitable for my Henry AR-7 Survival rifle. It's perfect, provided, of course, that you have the rifle broken down and the components stored inside the buttstock. The soft flannel padding inside is a nice touch. The only thing that might have made it better would be a double-zipper arrangement. This has a single, quality zipper, and I'm happy with it, too!

Perfect for my M4
Got this for my m4 pistol with an 8 and 1/2 inch barrel and hinge wrist brace. Works like a champ! Have optics on it, and I'm able to just unzip the top and it comes right out. It is a little tricky getting it back in, but it's the best thing I could find for the price.

Nice case, does the job
Nicely made. Purchased for Sub2000 with muzzle brake that made it a little too long for the case I had. That earlier case was sturdier and had more padding, but this is adequate. I didn't want one that looked like a tactical case, and this does the job.

Generously Sized T/C Soft Case
Unless you have a T/C Super 14, or Super 16 model, 15 inch cutom shop barrel, or intend to acquire one of those barrel lengths, you may desire to opt for a more compact soft-case.This Boyt case is very well constructed, and should easily last two or more lifetimes, though, it is quite large, and is not necessary for eight, ten or twelve inch barrels.~Jabba

Both fit fine and I love Boyt Harness cases because of their ...
Bought two of these, one for a revolver with a 10.5" barrel and one for a single shot CVA Scout 300 Blk with scope. Both fit fine and I love Boyt Harness cases because of their soft flannel quilted insides. However, having some straps would definitely be a plus, although one can make one's own by using just the hook side of Velcro, as it sticks well to the soft insides.

Ok value and quality.
Over the past couple of months I have bought two of these for my husband's TC Contenders. The first was nicely finished and fit his contenders comfortably. They both have 14'' barrels and one is scoped. The second one was not as good, ragged stitching and some sort of stain on the Boyt label. A local shoe repair store fixed it up nicely. We still feel it is a decent value, but my husband has said if SKB ever makes a soft case in this size he will buy that instead.

Nice soft case
Nice case for the money,, but its lacks the heavy padding that's needed when hauling\transporting with other cargo or baggage. Works very well for storage!!
