They are nice and bright with a slight yellow tint
Been waiting for these to come down in price- they were $39.00-$49.00 a year ago; just had them installed in outdoor coach lightsfor the garage. They are nice and bright with a slight yellow tint. If you want more of a bright-white color, purchase the 100 watt version-those are great as well! They are beefy but fit just fine in the coach lights purchased from amazon(Heath/Zenith SL-4160-PB-B 150-Degree Motion-Activated Richmond Coach Style). The 75 watt and 100 watt bulbs both fit in the coach lights just fine! They use so much less electricity than the halogens I had in the older coach lights that these replaced! I will update this if the bulbs burn out any time soon!

poor power supply causes early failures
Update: 2 of the 3 bulbs in a (large) enclosed outdoor fixture have died. One died in 2 weeks the other in 2 months. Duty cycle is 10 hrs per day x 7 days per week (less than 1000 hours). Even the cheap generic CFL bulbs last 1-3 years on the same duty cycle. Unfortunately the most recent bulb that died is outside the refund period. Save your money and buy the philips LED or the original CREE (not 4flow). I have yet to see one fail.I really want to like these bulbs, cool design, bright and on the surface appears well built. One out of 3 bulbs (used in same fixture) had already stopped working after a couple weeks of usage. I expect root cause is power supply failure (capacitor) since the led's flicker. Could just be a defect that caused the one bulb to burn out early that may not effect the others.

Really Bright Lights, but expensive
I got these at $40, and now at almost $80 I'm not sure they are worth it anymore. Sure they are bright, but cheaper ones can be found at major stores locally for about $25. Sure they are liquid filled and may be more durable in high temp area or enclosures, but you pay for that durability. I've had it for over 6 months now and the bulb still dims and is very bright and instant on.

Amazing Bulb
Bulb came in a very nice and well engineered box. The bulb itself has some weight to it, but does fine being installed with the socket up. The bulb is absolutely beautiful to look at off and on. The color of the light is the same as a regular warm temp bulb. The bulb does work with a dimmer switch. Can't wait for the price to come down on these so I can fill my house with them! Very happy with my purchase! I only gave this four stars because of the price. If they can get it below HALF of what it is at now, it will be a five star bulb.

Not good for our use case
I ready the reviews and was fully prepared to love these bulbs when I ordered them for use in our dimmable, 4 bulb bathroom down-fixture. However, two problems: first, they definitely hum. Both wife and I noticed that -- on nearly all brightness levels -- they emit a noticeable hum. This might bother some people, but it bugged me and drove her crazy. Second, the frequency of the bulb is such that they (to me) have a significant flicker. When I first put them in and hit the power, it felt light a strobe light was activated. I thought it might just that I have a sensitivity to these (no problems with other bulbs such as Philips or Cree though...) but my wife was bothered as well. She reported that they felt weird -- that they gave her a headache. We also noticed that the light pattern was very "focused" -- a little more spotlight-like than we wanted. The light dropped off significantly as you moved away from being directly under the build. On the plus side, these are gorgeous to look at (when off) and the build quality seems quite high. I just can't stand the light they cast.As always, they may be awesome for you but for me they just don't work well.UPDATE: After returning these to Amazon (great customer service!), I bought 4 of the new Cree 75W equivalent LEDs from Home Depot. As of a week ago, you could only get them from Home Depot's website, but yesterday they started appearing in stores. Wow -- what a difference! These bulbs are ½ the price of the SWITCH75 ($19.99), have zero hum, and are indistinguishable from 75W incandescent bulbs. After placing the Cree's in the fixture next to some 75W clear incandescent bulbs, I couldn't tell any difference. Also -- no flickering at all! These bulbs have a great color, no hum, nice dispersion of light, and a fantastic price.

Best LED bulb I've found
I'm a big fan of the Switch bulbs. They look great, work in any fixture, and play nicely with dimmers. A true incandescent replacement with a futuristic look. The only drawback is the weight; they're quite heavy compared to regular A19 bulbs and many competitive LED units.

LOVE!
LOVE these bulbs... They are glass and are substantial to hold. I loved the look of clear incandescents so the switch to fluorescents was a hard sell for me. Now with the LED options, most lights are stark - These give off a bright, but not blinding light. I tend to prefer daylight bulbs or light in the middle of the color spectrum (rather than true WARM or COOL light). I like both the WARM and COOL versions of SWITCH bulbs as both are more moderate than extreme on the spectrum. They have a significant lifespan and cost just pennies to run per year. I am slowly changing all of our bulbs over...

so that warrantee is useless. The liquid coolant in the bulb makes it ...
This light is NOT appropriate for all fixture types. Also, as I realized only after having purchased it, the company has gone out of business, so that warrantee is useless. The liquid coolant in the bulb makes it incredibly heavy, and the ceiling lamp bubble I had, whose bulb base was horizontal, could not handle the weight of the bulb. So, it was bending the base and casting an ugly shadow. I can't recommend this bulb, and especially since the company is kaput, there's no point in buying any more.
