Deadpool, Vol. 2: Soul Hunter Paperback – January 1, 2013

This arc is the one of the best deadpool stories out there. It starts with a 70s tie in that is hilarious, and brilliant, then goes on to include some of the best written Deadpool team ups of all time. Not only that, but this story showcases Wade's mercenary skills. Gone are his looney toon stories, and shameful defeats. He is a bad ass, and hilarious to boot.Buy this. Right now.Then buy the good the bad and the ugly arc in January.

This story shows Deadpool uses his smarts more than it seems. It also has more farts jokes than usual. He gets involved with a contract with a demon from Hell. In this story we see Ironman not in a good place. We also see Ben Franklins ghost, Spiderman tries to stop Deadpool, Daredevil tries as well as a few other lesser known bad guys and 2 giant Great White sharks. All Deadpool wants is a spirit out of his body. But you never trust a demon from Hell. A LOT of action and very funny.

I really like the comic. The story was solid, Deadpool is hilarious, and there are a lot of good cameos. The only issue is that I read it on an IPhone so the formatting was a bit annoying.

Just SICK. Deadpool is ruthless and funny, what's better than that? The story is great and the artwork is top notch as well. If you read The Dark Knight, get this book. If you don't start collecting before it's to late. Dark Night is concise, very good story lines and LOTS of violence, but it Deadpool so who would think it wasn't? Buy This Book.

I really like what Duggan and Posehn have done for our beloved antihero Deadpool, they've brought a lot of fun fresh ideas to the table, specifically the hilarious early 1980's throwback issue that this volume opens with. For those of you who didn't think Vol. 1 was all that great you've got to check Vol. 2 out, hands down one of the most enjoyable Deadpool volumes ever.

The packaging was amazing, they did everything in there power to protect the book! I haven’t even took it out of its plastic yet but I love it

I'll keep this short. This is just really good quality writing. The first issue in here three me off, but if you keep on reading, there's some real golden bits in here that won't make you chuckle, but really bust out laughing. The art is great, I love how Wade interacts with Agent Preston in his head, and the guest appearances are also great. Go team red!

Brian Posehn is one of my favorite comedians and he doesn't disappoint. He weaves a delectable story with Comic's Favorite Assassin, Deadpool having to help out Hell by being a bounty hunter for the damned.The first story arc was flawless but this had some speedbumps which lost a star from me but I still thought it was great. Go read this you guys.

Was a good read. I love Deadpool

Again I am pleasently suprised by a Deadpool volume.This carries on where volume 1 left off and Deadpool confronts the problem of sharing mind-space with a female SHIELD Agent and mother.It becomes a battle against Mephisto and his subordinates alongside the usual fun and games.The fun remains - actually funny and the plot remains important and sensible with sillyness and slapstick running alongside rather than in conflict with the superheroics!The artwork and the writing is refreshingly consistant throughout the main book and despite myself I find (as I tend to think of myself as a serious comic book collector) that I must heartilly recommend this book!

Was war ich skeptisch, nachdem Deadpool von Daniel Way immer mehr in den Sand gefahren wurde. Nach der ersten monatlichen Serie wollte DP mir nicht mehr richtig gefallen und die Geschichte um untote Präsidenten ist sicher für Amerikaner interessanter, als für andere.Jetzt läuft die Serie zwei Jahre, kriegt gute Kritiken und klingt interessant. Es scheint einen Blick wert zu sein.Und was soll ich sagen?Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass das neue Autorenteam so gut ist. Deadpool ist endlich wieder witzig, schräg und strotzt nur so vor Anspielungen auf Comics und Filme. Zuerst musste ich nur schmunzeln, aber stellenweise konnte ich später richtig über die Comics lachen. Das ist mit Abstand der beste Deadpool seit Jahren!DP soll für einen Dämonen ein paar Leute umbringen, aber vorher gibt es einen Flashback in die Vergangenheit, wo das Autorenteam die Iron Man Geschichte "Demon in a bottle" auf die Schippe nimmt.Danach geht es in der Gegenwart weiter, mit einem Gastauftritt von Spider-Man und anderen, etwas weniger bekannten Figuren.Auch, wenn mir ständigen Neustarts der Marvel-Serien auf die Nerven gehen, hier hat der Verlag alles richtig gemacht. Deadpool ist endlich wieder spannend, lustig und ein ganz klein wenig düster (Ich glaube aber, da kommt noch mehr). So wie in alten Zeiten und sogar noch besser.

A serious, mature and multilayered Deadpool story! And we all thought oxymorons don't exist.In this adventure, Deadpool tangles himself into a deal with a demon. Plus, we also find him in the past. Overall, we find a compact and enjoyable story, with typical Deadpool-moments throughout.Recommended.
