Features One complete replacement circle pad Fits original models of Nintendo 3DS / 3DS XL Console disassembly is required. This is not a push on thumb grip. You are required to open the console to install it. Opening the console may void its warranty and is done entirely at your own risk. Compatibility Fits original versions of Nintendo 3DS / 3DS XL. This does not fit 2DS, New 3DS, New 3DS XL or New 2DS. Allows you to fully restore the analog stick / circle pad. Requires tools / screwdrivers to open the 3DS. The tools/screwdrivers are not included. Review: Good but not exactly the one as the title says - Good product but it isn't the 3ds original, but the new 3ds model instead. Review: Easy to install and it’s a nice colour - My analog basically crumbled away so I ordered this to replace it, if you have those tiny screwdrivers then you’re sorted. Was really easy to do and now I have a fully functional analog again. Goes nice with the white on the console too. ## Features - Replaces the entire circle pad - 1 replacement full thumb stick part - THIS IS NOT A PUSH-ON GRIP/COVER - Requires opening of the console to install - Direct replacement for the original - fits perfectly in the original series 3DS consoles. - PLEASE NOTE: This does not fit 'New 3DS' models, only the original 3DS/3DS XL. ## Images ![Analog Joystick Cap - Circle Pad Repair/Replacement Compatible with 3DS - Replace Worn Thumbstick on Nintendo 3DS / 3DS XL (Original Series Only) - Grey - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61zXRf68nnL.jpg) ![Analog Joystick Cap - Circle Pad Repair/Replacement Compatible with 3DS - Replace Worn Thumbstick on Nintendo 3DS / 3DS XL (Original Series Only) - Grey - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61HNDT-z0FL.jpg) ![Analog Joystick Cap - Circle Pad Repair/Replacement Compatible with 3DS - Replace Worn Thumbstick on Nintendo 3DS / 3DS XL (Original Series Only) - Grey - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71r4HHwttKL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Hi, is the grip made of rubber like the original built-in circle pad?** A: The one I received was plastic with a soft-touch coating on the thumb pad - so no, not like the OE thumb stick at all. I couldn’t find a suitable alternative anywhere, so good luck with your search. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good but not exactly the one as the title says *by P***. on 7 January 2021* Good product but it isn't the 3ds original, but the new 3ds model instead. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to install and it’s a nice colour *by M***W on 5 February 2021* My analog basically crumbled away so I ordered this to replace it, if you have those tiny screwdrivers then you’re sorted. Was really easy to do and now I have a fully functional analog again. Goes nice with the white on the console too. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Analog stick - not rubberised *by J***W on 21 October 2020* Product arrived quickly. The stick is slightly smaller than the standard analog stick, but the main failing of this replacement product is that it isn’t rubberised like the OE stick. It’s sprayed in what feels like soft touch paint, but it certainly doesn’t provide a grippy surface for your thumb. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/104225174-analog-joystick-cap-circle-pad-repair-replacement-compatible-with-3ds](https://www.desertcart.be/products/104225174-analog-joystick-cap-circle-pad-repair-replacement-compatible-with-3ds) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-10-31*
