It works!
My kids wore these as we walked around the neighborhood at dusk. A driver pulled over to tell us that he could see the kids' vests from two blocks away.The vest is approximately the size of a women's Small. My kids are 3 and 5 years old, so the vests are big on them, but not uncomfortable--just extra room. The back of the vest says "Verkehrsdetektiv"--German for "traffic detective."

This is the reflector vest that the Politzei distribute to German school kids. Everyone walks to school there and these increase visibility by blocks. I bought these for my girls when they walk to school here in the US!
