I learned a lot of interesting things I did not know about astrology. The author is excellent in his explanations of the old language and ways. It has persuaded me to study medieval astrology in order to use the things in this book. Now on to volume 3 & 4! The knowledge here is amazing. I love this book!

A valuable translation.

Extensive knowledge of astrology is almost a requirement for this book to be useful. I will keep it on my reference shelf.

I rate this book at five stars because of the clear readability of this translation, helpful annotation, and user friendly Kindle format. Tapping the number of a footnote brings you to the note, tapping the number again takes you back to the text. Very handy.The introduction is quite useful. It's not overly long, but it provides some basic history of this astrological classic and places it in proper context for effective and safe magical practice.This review also applies to books 3 and 4. To keep the prices lower, it was split into two separate volumes. I am a relative newcomer to traditional astrology and I look forward to exploring the many treasures this book has to offer.
