I was impressed with this book. There are a lot of great ideas included in this book. Also it appeals to all skill levels. I especially liked the multi-page layouts. I tend to take too many photos and can never narrow them down as much as I should so the multi-page layouts are a great resources for new ideas. This book is so full of layout designs and ideas you can find one and make it your own! Just change the photos and mats and make the rest of the page your own design. The only con I can say is that I felt it was a little dated in design and was hoping for more ideas to use paints, sprays, distressing, and gelatos.

I'm totally sorry I spent money on this book. Now scrapbooking is relatively unknown where I live, some of more creative people have done some ornaments and comments in the photoalbums in the past and some do boring photobooks today - while most of us prefer to see good quality photos on screen anyway. On the other hand we do our own creative cards (Christmas and such) and decorated travel journals. So I figured I take the hobby further- do extra with portrait photos- and bought two books based on the review grades.The book has no guidelines, it's just the collection of end products. I find vast majority of the designs in this book cluttered, kitsch or simply colour-unbalanced. I would hate if anybody would stick photo of me into something like that. I did something I never did before with any book - I tore it apart and kept a few pages only that have ideas close to my taste.

This book had a tremendous amount of great ideas to use in my scrapbooking collection. Thank you for such a wide variety of examples.

Nice book

I am pleased with the book. However, the 'ideas' are certainly NOT hand-crafted. The layouts are beautiful, they appear to be digitally printed. Actually, I am sure they are. So while they do give the scrapper ideas, they cannot be simply duplicated.To summarize, the book does bring inspiration, but the end result will be completely made from the 'scrapbooker's ' loving heart.debiblu

The Big Book of Scrapbook Pages has one main thing going for it: lots of pictures of scrapbook pages done in the latest styles. This could be very inspirational if all you're looking for is trendy ideas for your next layout.However, very little other information is included next to each picture, aside from the manufacturer of the products. This can be daunting, especially for somebody without advanced scrapbooking skills; most of the layouts are done in very "busy" styles which include lots of elements, bits, and pieces and maybe only one or a few photos. Because of this, it is hard for me to decipher what elements are on each page and "translate" it to the order and techniques I'd need to duplicate the look. I am an intermediate scrapper who's been away from scrapbooking for a few years, and it isn't automatically obvious to me how to recreate these pages.So as a point of inspiration, TBBOSP is right on target, but I was hoping for more help from this book.

This book didn't do it for me, but I think that's probably because I don't really like this style of scrapbooking - tons of embellishments all over the page, 3 or more pictures of the same person in nearly the same pose, on the same page. These kind of pages you can find anywhere on the internet, no need to buy a book. I was looking for more unique ideas. I also purchased a Cathy Zielske book at the same time, and I was much more impressed with her book than this one. If you just want to be able to look at layouts on paper instead of a computer screen, this book would be good, I guess. Otherwise, save your money and look at scrapbook websites.

I can barely see the photos, and the print is hard to read. I would probably love this in paper version, but as for the kindle - don't get it.

There are so many ideas in this book, which cover a lot of different styles and occasions - a great purchase for any scrapbooker. The photos are really good too.

A good book full of ideas, lots of family layouts but mainly focuses on children. Inspiring. Gives you all the information required to do the pages in each section.

Seit etwa 1 1/2 Jahren bin ich von scrappen begeistert. Für den Anfang habe ich mir, um überhaupt einen Überblick über dieses Hobby zu bekommen einige Bücher zugelegt. Leider gibt es auf dem deutschen Markt nicht all zu viel Auswahl und deshalb habe ich vor diesem auch schon zwei englische Bücher, die allerdings älteren Jahrgangs sind und obwohl leider meine Englischkenntnisse nicht berauschend sind, gekauft. Eigentlich hätten die auch gereicht, denn im Prinzip möchte ich ja nicht nach Vorlagen arbeiten, sondern selbst kreativ sein. Aber irgendwie reizte mich dieses Buchl noch, weil es eben jünger ist und ich sehen wollte, was sich verändert hatte und ich habe es absulut nicht bereut, denn dieses Buch ist voll mit wunderschönen, zum Teil auch sehr anspruchsvollen Layouts. Es wird nicht viel beschrieben, aber alleine die Bilder könnte ich mir immer wieder anschauen und man sieht einfach, dass sich gegenüber meinen anderen Büchern einiges verändert hat. Hauptsächlich finden sich Einzellayouts im Buch, aber es gibt auch einige Doppelseiten. Also dieses Buch beinhaltet eine Fülle von wunderschönen Anregungen, besonders auch im Bezug auf Verzierungen. Wirklich empfehlenswert.

Good. Dated right now. Layouts are very cluttered. Good as an inexpensive resource book.
