I was hesitant at first because I didn't feel comfortable pulling out a panel on my dash but decided to give it a go because my current phone holder (which I'm also happy abt) is no longer working well with my vertical air vents. I'm so glad I bought this!Super easy to install! You're not gonna pull out the entire panel of your dash, you're just going to lift the side where you want this installed, gently and just enough to put the base on. A small plastic pry bar is included. Once you installed the base and happy where its located, you can push the panel back until you hear a snap. Connect the phone holder and you're done!Overall pleased with this purchase! My phone is now secured on my dash and no longer covering my air vent.I bought this for my 2017 RAV4 and I own a Samsung S20+ with a slim case. This won't work if you have a bulky case (ie. Wallet case or Otterbox defender).

Mine arrived broken and the chunk that was broken off wasn’t even in the box. Great design but the quality control could be better. I missed the return window so I purchased the same thing from a different brand.

This product was built specifically for my vehicle and as such eliminated the problems with sticker or suction cup based phone holders. This item keeps my phone held securely and is in a perfect location for both visibility out of my windshield and accessibility and usability of my phone. I highly recommend this if they make one for your vehicle.

Purchase this because it claimed to fit a Toyota RAV4 2018. It does not. Not even close. I will be returning

We struggled with cell phone holders that cover the air vents. This TOTALLY solved this problem. Easy to install. Just wish they could make more "off vent" models (for my Honda) :) Highly recommend if you have a RAV4

I have had the red holder (the one that inserts into the dashboard) in a my RAV4 for over a year now. Pros: Sturdy dashboard installation. Puts phone in good position, don't have to deal with suction cup un-sucking, doesn't block vents. Cons: Phone doesn't fit with a sturdy case on. Holder itself feels a bit flimsy. If it were more sturdy and the arms and foot accommodated a greater thickness of phone, I'd be completely satisfied. As it is, I have to slip my phone out of the case. But, it's still the best solution I've found for my RAV4.

It's too bad the product title includes the words "air vent," because this is not mounted on the air vent. Thank goodness, because I've had several of those and none were stable. Easy to install, no adhesive to mess up the dash, the air vent's not blocked, and my phone stays put instead of flying onto the floor.

I really liked this for my car. But it just broke off a couple days ago. I will probably buy another. I really liked it and I have vertical vents, so I can't find anything else that works as well.
