Good unit
Works as expected with nice air flow and quiet operation. I usually order higher capacity humidity sensing exhaust units with 6” vent hose but this with 4” hose port is fine for a small bathroom for a good price.

Great fan for the price but instruction manual needs improvement.
Overall the fan is great for the price so it gets high marks for that. The user manual needs improvement. Wiring diagram was hard to figure out since I do not do alot of electrical work.I had 2 switches and a red, black, white and green wires that run to switches in attic.Fan has 3 green, 2 black, 2 white and a red.All 3 green to green, 2 white to white easy enough. The black light wire goes to the red.And the red wire for auto humidity feature to work goes to black. The last black wire to the fan is if you want to control fan manually by switch. It stays disconnected if you want the fan to cycle on and off via humidty sensor. If you prefer manual control by switch, leave the red disconnected and wire black to black. This is if you have 2 switches, one for fan and one for light, and same wiring situation described above to your light switches. There is probably a lot more variations out there but for me this is what I encountered. With fan switch on, fan will run when humidity reaches set level. There is a dial on inside of the unit to control humidity level you want fan to kick on at-set it real low and the fan will kick on.You have to pull the light cover down to get to it if you need to adjust. After testing I set it in the middle.Pretty basic looking fan, nothing fancy but for the money it is hard to beat compared to the others available.Hope this helps the next person who is confused by the wiring diagram as I was. I suspect to an electrician this is basic but it’s not obvious if you dont do a lot of electrical work. I know manual can’t cover every situation but can be improved so it is easier to understand the usual wiring scenarios. The mechanics of the installation is straight forward if you have replaced a fan before.

Excellent fan, but hard to install
The good: I love the final product. The fan is very quiet, and moves much more air than the old one. I can't even fog up the mirror after a long shower with this fan on. It's exactly what I wanted, in the end.The bad: Installing this fan is not for everyone. I'm more an engineer and tinkerer than the average person and I found that I had to disassemble the fan in several places to be able to install it, which is a very poor design. Forget about installing this fan if you do not have access to the attic over your bathroom. If you do, be prepared to remove the fan port cowling to be able to drill and screw in the rail which is right next to it. In my situation I couldn't even secure the other rail, because I can't reach that area after the fan is installed, and I can't attach the fan to the rail after the rail is screwed into the joist. How would I improve it? I would replace the rails with some sort of spring loaded cage, which could be installed through the ceiling hole from underneath and also have the fan be attachable/detachable from that cage for maneuvering or future service. I also found the access to hook up a conduit hard to get to, and you'll need to supply your own conduit, lock nut, AND wire nuts.A little bit more thought to the installer's needs would have made this a 5/5 fan, but be prepared to do a bit of hacking and improvising if you want to install this fan. Also, I don't have high hopes that I would be able to find replacement motor parts for this fan if it fails in the future - so I will probably have to go up in the attic again when that day comes to uninstall this beast and replace the whole unit.

Well built and quiet nice upgrade, shows 33 decibels on uncalibrated sound meter old fan was in 60's
Seems well built. Replaced a 3 son can whose noise annoyed my wife. This one is much quieter and keeps our small bathroom completely fog free even right after a long shower. Designed for new construction so you will need to do some attic work to install. Fortunately it was larger than existing fan so only had to remove old fan, cut larger hole, attach hangars to rafters. If you have switched it has different circus for fan, light and nightlight. Can all be wired to one switch if that's your electrical setup. Nice upgrade

Sooooo quite!!! Easy install! Buy this one.
Went from a 4 scone vent to this. Amazing!! You can only hear the fan if the shower is off and then just barely.Unpack the entire box before assembling. The braces were in the bottom and I found them as I was breaking down the box. I thought you had to buy them aftermarket and I just made braces from 2x4s. It would have saved me 15 mins if I had found them instead.Oh and no light bulb. Most of these are LED now. Had to go dig one up.Great fan will buy another for other bathroom this winter.

Don't buy
It was easy to install but it's louder than what's said.In less than a year the motor is much louder. It sounds like a helicopter in the restroom !!!!!!!

Quite fan
The fan is very quite and gets its job done. But I was hoping it would auto shut off. I cannot set the auto shutoff option on humidity percent. Even at 80% the fan runs forever.
