Trail maker 15 Inch Kids Backpacks for Preschool, Kindergarten, Elementary School Boys and Girls with Padded Straps (Magical Mermaids)

It was specifically purchased for my son for this week, returning to school, but after a day or so of use, there was a rip at the hanging tab. I proceeded to stitch it but then noticed another rip at the top seam, about an inch long. Then we noticed the other reviews- the same issues. This was a poorly made item. It is being returned.

For a little kid (4-5 yo) who doesn't have that much to carry (just water bottle, lunch, jackets, etc), it's a good lightweight backpack that lasted for exactly 1 year before it fell apart (zippers still work great but one seam started to unravel and opened up, and the inner lining started to peel off). Great value for money since it's under $9. I wouldn't recommend it for bigger kids who need to carry heavy stuff (books, etc). The size 15" and the lightweight material is IMO great for the 4-5 year olds, it fits them well and not heavy. And because the material is thin and lightweight, often I fold the whole packpack up and put it into my bag, so I only have one bag (mine) to haul around.

My daughter broke her book bag with two months left in the school year. I needed something inexpensive just to make it through the rest of the semester. This book bag is cute, but it does not seem very durable. It is a full sized backpack and it fits her folder, book and lunchbox with room to spare. The only other complaint is that there are no side pockets for a water bottle. The pictures kind of look like it has side pockets, but it doesn’t. That being said, I think it should hold out for the last two months of school and she loves it.

So far, seems fine. I'm not sure how much it'll hold up with heavy use but it's mostly a bag to send my kid's stuff in. The best part is all the different designs; my kid was so excited to get to pick out one with construction vehicles.It's definitely no frills. Just two pockets, no space for a name tag, no extra padding. I wouldn't use this for my kindergartener who puts real use on his backpack but I'm happy with what I got it for.

Great quality material, BUT it looks like a child sewed it together...the loose strings you see pull the material apart like nothing.. Really irritating that it came in like this. Afraid to return and get something even worse!

I really wanted to love this book bag ... My son is in kindergarten, he loves planets! He only carries one folder back and forth from home to school so I figured even if it was cheap it would last a while ... he isn't rough on the bag at all and after just 2 weeks of actually using it the zipper broke. Disappointed.

I knew it was a cheap backpack from the pictures. I expected it wouldn't last long. I DIDN'T expect it would arrive with an open seam, and loose threads. Frankly, I'd have gotten better value by going to the 99¢ store where at least I could look the bag over before purchasing.It's a shame it was faulty, because the design is really cute, but I'm very releived I didn't buy one for each of my kids.Also, the zippers are both too fragile, and too hard to zip for a small child.

A complete and total disgrace! Backpacks are meant to hold multiple books and school accessories such as a lunchbox, pencils, crayons etc.. However, this sorry excuse for a backpack, rendered itself useless, when a couple days after use, a major rip presented itself along the edge in such a way that even an experienced seamstress wouldn't be able to mend it. And this was shortly after it was filled with toys before it was even given the chance of holding anything heavy like books! No, I would be very wrong to recommend this to anyone.

It's a lovely looking bag.. However the zip has come off leaving the bag useless.. I have barely used the bag.. Only a handful of time and there is never anything heavy in there so its definitely not from wear and tear

I purchased this backpack for my toddler to use at preschool. It looked cute and was a good size so I was happy at first. Then when I went to cut off the tag I noticed a warning that the bag contains known carcinogens and could cause damage to the reproductive system!!! I immediately threw this right in the garbage. Cheaply and dangerously made! Do not buy this bag

Awful quality falling apart after 3 days use. It is only for my 5 year old so all she carries is a snack and drink to school.

Broke within a week

Perfect size for 3-4 year olds. Only downside is that there isn’t any outer pocket to store water bottle. Good quality zippers. Well padded comfortable straps for little one’s shoulder. Fast delivery.
