OXO SteeL Can Opener

This can opener is freaking ridiculously awesome! I never thought that I'd be amped up to write a review for a can opener, but after using it, I felt obligated to share with my Amazon brethren just how great this little gadget is. First of all, before buying this particular can opener, I scoured Amazon for several other can openers with good reviews in the hope that I would end up buying one that worked great. In fact, I had initially began my search for an electric can opener as my old one bit the dust. However, after about an hour of searching and comparing electric can openers, I came to the conclusion that they all had their flaws and that none were a guaranteed good purchase. Fortunately, at the end of my search, I wound up viewing the Oxo Steel Can Opener. After reading the description, viewing the picture, and subsequently reading the reviews, I came to the conclusion that a manual can opener is a better choice and that the Oxo CO was the best on the market. Thankfully, the customer reviews did not let me down. Once the can opener arrived I broke out a large can of soup and put it in action. Whoa! I was shocked. The can opener was so smooth that I wasn't sure if it was even opening the can, but sure enough, at the end of the slice the can was opened perfectly. The ability to slice through the can is due to an attached hard plastic knob protruding from the side of the can opener which acts as a wrench. The wrench-esque knob enables you to slice through the can by effortlessly twisting it. Potential buyers should know a few things about this can opener. 1.) It fits your hand perfectly and comfortably. 2.) There is no extra strength required as the can opener slices through the tin top like a warm knife cutting through butter. 3.) The ease of opening cans cannot be overstated as many disabled or elderly people have a weak grip. Making things easy for these people is the fact that the Oxo CO does not require you to put a death grip on the can with one hand and then strain to crank on the knob with the other hand like many other manual CO's do. In summation: If you are thinking about buying this item, do yourself a favor and get it.

Love this can opener. My years old OXO can opener finally died, and I needed a reliable replacement. i have had no trouble with this. The grip is substantial, and works well for older hands. Glad I bought it.

One of the best can openers I’ve ever had, works well and is easy to use. I don’t picture this breaking anytime soon.

Easy to use Good product

Would really rate 3-1/2 stars. It’s pricey. It works well but it doesn’t seem nearly as good as my old Swing-A-Way that I had for 20 years (which no longer opened well). I just feel this is a bit flimsy, but isn’t that true of so many products we buy to replace old models? It is easy to turn. But I had one can that it didn’t cut into properly. I read so many reviews of hand openers and felt this might be the best. Will see. I don’t think I’d choose this again. It’s supposedly all stainless and shouldn’t rust. Hum???

Very sturdy very worth it

The OXO SteeL Can Opener feels solid, well made, and comfortable to use. It has a sturdy construction and the handles provide a good grip, which makes opening cans much easier and smoother. I like that it feels more durable than cheaper can openers and works without a lot of struggle. It is simple, reliable, and does exactly what you want a kitchen tool like this to do. Overall, this is a great can opener if you want something dependable, comfortable in the hand, and built to last.

If what you desire is inside of a can, then this can opener will open it. It will TAKE DOWN any can. It will literally DESTROY any can. OBLITERATE. DEMOLISH. RUIN. PUT BIG HOLE IN IT, SPECIFICALLY, AT THE TOP. It will open ANYTHING--soup, corn (creamed or whole), beans, ham. It will also open: hearts, minds, eyes, arms, doors, books, floodgates, Pandora's box, and, curiously enough, marriages. It is effortless, smooth, and a total badass. It's so easy to use, a blind dolphin can use it. A BLIND DOLPHIN. Sure it's about $20. You COULD get a cheaper one for $4. Yes, you could be a hater and do that. But just understand you'll be sadface because you'll spend an extra ten minutes struggling to open a stupid can of peas and realize what an epic mistake you've made with your P.O.S. four dollar can opener and you'll consider, perhaps briefly, buying frozen vegetables next time, which are actually better for you anyway, so maybe canned peas was a bad example. So just reread that whole thing but use "tomato sauce" instead. With this BALLS OUT can opener, you will wish EVERY SINGLE THING on this planet and on other planets came in a can so you can open them. Pencils, socks, books, CDs, cell phones, Sacagawea dollar coins, Little League trophies. You will wish ALL OF THOSE THINGS came in a can. If toothpaste came in a can you would not EVEN CARE because it would be ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM to open it. You know how your crappy can opener has some gunk on the wheel? It looks like a secretion? That's rust, my friend. One of the many reasons your current can opener sucks a left nut is because it's not stainless steel. This one is stainless steel. Therefore, your crappy can opener is sucking this can opener's left nut. And guess what? It's rather enjoying it. Look, if Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, Steven Seagal, and Harvey Keitel gave birth to a baby, that baby would be this can opener. What I am trying to say is that this is a can opener for people WHO DO NOT FEAR ACTION and for those who are BAD IN THE PANTS DEPARTMENT.

My husband has a habit of watching too many infomercials and/or buying junky (read: cheaply made and poor quality) can openers or other kitchen tools! After trying *really* hard to open a can of tuna the other day & being unable to get the cheap can opener even to attach to the rim of the tuna lid, I decided to go online and find myself a great one. OXO products have not disappointed me yet! There are many different OXO ones too, so when I saw this stainless-steel version with a really large knob, I was sold. One of the lingering after-effects of my having had COVID is some arthritis around the knuckles of my right hand, especially around my index finger. Being right-handed, it really hurts sometimes to use my hand even to open a can! This can opener works like a dream: it's easy for it to attach to the lid's rim; it moves smoothly around the lid, and the lid removes easily at the end. There are no jagged edges either! As an added bonus, it's dishwasher safe, and I haven't seen any rust or discolouration of the steel at all. Whether you have arthritis/infirmities in your hands, or whether you just want the best--and last!--can opener you'll ever buy, get this one. It's worth every penny!

Dann wissen die Tier- und Fischprodukte: Jetzt sind wir zügig dran. Vorbei der Ruheschlaf. Wir werden verdaut! Also; Ohne Probleme löst dieses Bauteil den Öffnungseffekt.
