A above average introduction to the hobby. There are some good bits of information here for those of us just getting in to the game, or those returning after some time away.

Its good for a beginner, too much focus on racing. It needs to cater also to off road as well. That would make it a 5 star

The book was just what I wanted; an introduction to radio controlled model cars. It wanders off the subject in places but not too much so. It's a bit pricey for what it is and the editing, particularly for grammar and literals, was a bit rushed. Overall though, it does more or less what it says on the cover.

Great book, gives you simple information, if you're a newbie to hobby grade rc get thisI'm only 11 and I know enough to fit a mamba monster combo in my scrt10

For anyone just starting or even only contemplating joining the rc hobby, there are so many unknowns, questions and confusions, it can be quite daunting. This book takes the novice to the nitty gritty, and I'm sure even the seasoned racer will get something out of it. I am now working on my touring car and hope to be racing within weeks. This book has given me a but of confidence in that having read it twice, I now understand not only elements of car selection, maintenance and setup, but also the workings of a race meeting. I can approach my first race session knowing what I need to do, and what is expected of me from booking in, racing and marshalling. Great book!!
