At first, I was hesitant to buy it but since the screen replacement from Apple would cost over $168 I decided to take a chance and try it out anyway. All the necessary tools and the screen alongside the glass screen protector were packaged neatly in the box. The only other thing I needed was a hairdryer to heat up the old screen so it can loosen up and I could easily remove it. I followed a YouTube video guide on how to do the screen replacement at home and it took me roughly 45 mins to an hour (after some struggle with the screws inside of my phone). After I connected the necessary cables to the new screen I turned my phone on to test out the display and when everything was working well I just simply lightly pressed the screen in and put the screws back in and I was done. I'm super happy with this purchase because now my screen looks nice and smooth again, the screen works perfectly and I can still use 3D touch which I think is amazing! This screen replacement definitely surprised me as its almost as good as a standard Apple screen. The new one works flawlessly and no complaints here, would definitely order again for the price, quality, and customer service.Received item and everything was a go up until 10 min after power up the screen wanted to start ghosting on me. Item is as described but I narrowed it down to the ribbon cable being defective or compromised. Sometimes the backplate that goes over the ribbons and cause this ghosting issue but tried every fix I know and still would not solve the issue. So, I make this review given a lot of experience with replacement screens.The screen replacement went smoothly, and the build quality of the screen appeared fine.Once the entire replacement was done I began to fit the screen back into the phone body (only two screws left and done!)---at this point I realized that the replacement screen has a formed plastic ridge across the top (the speaker end of the phone). This 'ridge' prevents the screen from fully sitting in the phone body . This ridge is absent in the original. This design flaw with the ridge prevents you from being able to 'close up your phone properly.I would have sent it back--but I had ordered this screen fix my phone before a business trip and didnt have time to deal with it now.I had decided to deal with the bad screen issue after I returned from the business trip--so I put in a protective case.
