Firstly I love St Rita and I had her book for years and borrowed it to someone and never got it back. As I loved the book so much I decided to buy it again and I will keep it forever nowI was introduced to St Rita 20 plus years ago during an IMPOSSIBLE situation and it was at that time that I believe St Rita just made a MIRACLE for me!!It was by reading this book that St Rita became a real person and a friend to me.I could she she BECAME ALIVE and has been my favorite St ….always praying for meIf you are interested in getting to know st Rita you should read this book. She is patron saint of impossible cases and no matter how bad your situation you can ask Rita to pray for you.

St Rita is my patron saint. I love this book, I learned a lot about her that I have never heard before. This is a blessing and I am grateful it was published.

if you like to know more about St Rita this is a good book to start. I bought this because in February 2018 she keeps popping on my head and I do not know anything about her. During the cruise at South America I met Fr Stephen Curry and asked him about his favorite saints and he replied of course St Augustine and St Ambrose because I am Augustinian he told me last March 7. Then I asked Him about St Rita because I dont have internet in the boat and I cant researched. He said St Rita is an Augustinian nun, so the moment I returned on the shore I decided to buy tbis book and read about her. This is an amazing biography. Truly I am amazed of her and I wish I could imitate her. I went to her in Cascia Italy in May 18, 2018.All I read in this book I saw it with my own eyes. I was so happy. Thank you for this wonderful book.

This is no reflection on St. Rita, but the book seems to be like a comic book--after I read the Life of St. Gemma Galgani by Venerable Fr. Germanus. Drawing comparisons may be unfair because there are likely few eyewitness accounts recorded with St. Rita, but the writing is flowery and insubstantial."That Rita, in her hours of sadness and affliction, mourned the absence of a little one to fondle and caress; of a tiny baby mouth to kiss; of a little crib over which she could softly sing a lullaby, we are inclined to believe." (p. 41)This sentence is unexceptional with respect to the saccharine sweetness of the author's writing.St. Gemma's Life, on the other hand, felt real, heady, like you were really getting to know someone and so began to treasure them as your personal friend. Fr. Germanus writing is exact, descriptive, lacking little in the way that great literature puts thoughts clearly and memorably before the reader.St. Rita is a wonderful saint, no question, but this book misses the mark of making her life-like.

It if want to be inspired grow in your faith, learn discipline your life never give up on your desires this book I could not put down it taught me so much.

This was an excellent writing about a very admirable Saint. We tend to hold Saints up for their holiness. This reminds us that they were sinners like us, struggling with the same issues that we are today. They give us hope and point us in the direction of following Christ.

Descriptive . . . but often seems sugar-coated to the point of lying myths! For if St. Rita is really so holy, was so holy, is so important, why does the modern Church not even have an obligatory Memorial for her veneration and honor? Fire the Pope, boys, he's not praying to God through St. Rita! Or rather, Fr. Joseph Sicardo was a biased liar??? The jury may be out still . . . and I don't think it'll be unanimous.

I bought this item because I was speaking to an Italian Dominicanand he made this remarkable saint so interesting that ended upmy buying this book. Some of his account differs as he watched the DVD.I have to say I loved the set up of the book. The chapters short and informative.
