While they are just plastic toy trucks they are well designed, as durable as you can be for also being as realistic as possible. My now 3 yr old grandson has had this dozer for almost a year now and it still has not broken any major things. The tracks are still very functional with both outside and inside play. A part or two has popped off once in a while but they are easily snapped back in place.
