LK Farlow delivers her best romance yet!
LK Farlow's Best Laid Plans is her best work yet! I have read each book in her catalog and I have marveled at the growth of her storytelling over the last year. Best Laid Plans embodies the sweet, sizzle and fun that we expect from a book written by LK Farlow. But it employs something new as well, an increase in the angst from her other titles. The fact that LK Farlow upped that emotion made this romance more realistic—I feel like if a woman was kept a secret of the magnitude that Natalie had, they would undoubtedly find themselves in a very similar situation.Best Laid Plans is a brother’s best friend, second chance romance. It’s written in dual perspectives. The hero, Alden is a few years older than the heroine, Natalie and has been living abroad for several years. When he returns to his hometown, his attraction to his best friends’ little sister is stronger than ever. That is until he finds out she’s kept a monumental secret from him and her whole family. This slow burn romance is sweet and sexy. Alden is swoon-worthy and Natalie’s daughter, Tatum, reminded me so much of my own three-year-old and had me cracking up. I loved that LK Farlow upped the angst factor in Best Laid Plans from some of the previous stories she’s told. I think the storyline would have suffered if she hadn’t pushed her boundaries. Best Laid Plans is an easy read. You can sit down, jump in and read it in one sitting and you’ll come away from this romance believing in second chances!

Time for Truth To Be Exposed
Tatum absolutely is adorable. Sweet and smart, maybe a little too smart for three years old but the book carries it off well. This is a good read if you need to sit back, relax and get your mind off of everyday life. It’s all about young love taking a wrong turn. It takes four years for truths to be exposed. Those truths aren’t easy, they impact and affect a lot of people. Hearts need to be healed and relationships will have to mend.👁 OBSERVATIONS:… Natalie was way to hard on herself. It was easy to understand why she did what she did. She was between a rock and a hard spot.… Alden had been burnt once and was determined not to be caught off guard again. To me, it seemed he never really owned up to his role in the whole situation. His untrusting heart only could see red and played a victim role. Yes, eventually he comes around but I wish he would have had that ‘see yourself in the mirror’ moment. He was so full of denial that even his dreams didn’t wake him up…. when you read this book, this will make sense.… Nate was a wonderful brother. Thinking the next book about Nate will be good.… I gave it 3 1/2 stars due to the unnecessary language used. As Tatum would say, that word is a No No.

cute romcom secret child
This was a sweet romcom that’s a brother beat friend, sort of second chance. There is a secret child, but the two main characters were clearly meant to be together. I did find some inconsistencies, and kind of far fetched notions about the toddler thought out the book that pulled me from the reading a bit hence the lower stars. Overall the spice and things were okay but sort of abrupt. Overall it wasn’t a bad read, and with some developmental work I think it would be a great book.

A romance that has a little something for everyone
Y’all already know, I love me some Kate Farlow. I’ve been a fan since I discovered Coming Up Roses... and I knew then that she would be going places. I’m so excited that I can be on sidelines to watch her grow and succeed while cheering her on.Best Laid Plans was another winner for me. It’s not a home run but it’s definitely a triple. You get a little bit of everything with this book. You like the brother’s best friend trope? It’s got it!Like single parents?Done!Secret baby?Boom, baby!Office romance?Yes, sir!See? What did I tell you? It’s got it all! You’re probably thinking “Allyson, if it’s so great, why isn’t it a home run?!”Well, we all like something different... FOR ME, I saw the story going a certain way and there was just something that I believed was a key aspect of the story that I would’ve liked to see more of throughout the book.Even though that didn’t pan out for me, it didn’t take away from the writing and overall storytelling.I thought Best Laid Plans was a really good read. It kept me interested throughout. I didn’t want to put it down for a second!Kate just has a way with storytelling and knows how to keep readers interested and on the edge of their seat to find out what’s happening next. This is definitely a book that I will read again and I cannot wait for more from her!(I also can’t wait to grab that paperback... that cover deserves ALL the hearts eyes!! 😍😍😍😍)

Fate finds a way to correct a past mistake
This book should be read as first in this series of standalone novels.A party during her high school years ends as a one-night-stand with her first crush and only love Alden Warner, leaving Natalie not only losing her virginity, but also pregnant. When she finds out, she wants to tell the child's father, but his FB account states him in a relationship now. So she tells her parents, but claims not to know the father. Now, four years later, Alden returns to his home town to buy and take over the restaurant his grandparents owned before their deaths. Little does he know how much his life and plans will change in a short amount of time.At first, he's furious to find out about having a three year old girl, but after Natalie and Alden work out their perspectives, they find a way to their HEA.

Sweet and oh so romantic!!!!
I love brother’s best friend romances. There is just something about this trope that I can’t get enough of. I can honestly say this is one of my favourite reads. Alden and Natalie are pure perfection and I loved watching them fall in love. I loved the slow burn and gradual buildup to their romance, I loved the dual POV (it really allowed the reader to get a better read on how both characters were feeling) and Tatum absolutely stole my heart. I easily read this book in one night. It is sweet, romantic and oh so swoon-worthy. Don’t miss out on this incredible journey to happily ever after.

WOW, WOW, WOW!
First time I read LK Farlow and definetly not the last one. When I read the blub, it caught my attention immediately. Then, I read some comments that it's too focused on the child, but anyway I decided to read it, and I was truly surprised with this story. It's become one of my favorites. It's funny, romantic and with drama.I liked that the author focused on the child, too, because I've read similar plots, but they are focused only on the couple. What I enjoyed too, it's that, the author represented a 'normal' child, being loud, with tantrums and everything, and not the perfect child that I've usually read.I couldn't put it out, till I finished it! I assure you, you're going to enjoyed it.

A bloody great read
Author LK Farlow has given us another great read. I have read all of LK Farlow's books, and her writing just gets better and better. This time around the story concentrates on Natalie and Alden... Alden being the best friend of Natalie's older brother. The one night of drunken Whoopsie, ends up with an added bonus. The relationship/chemistry between the two main characters is perfect.I enjoyed this book from start to finish.Highly recommend you have a read
