Although there are what seem to be some cool recipes to try with pre-bought melt and pour base, this book is missing the one recipe that it is based on.This book would be good for someone who knows how to make the base glycerin or who purchase it.I purchased this book to learn how to make my own base glycerin. I felt the title was a bit misleading in implied suggestion of "making your own" when I'm actually adding to store bought melt&pour. Perhaps the name should mention that the diy portion is in additives and not a true diy by adding melt&pour to the name.

I love this book. Simple and go direct to the recipes. Explain how to make soap on the most easy way. I can’t wait to make all the recipes on this book. Highly recommend.

What’s not to like. The recipes are very clear and simple. I haven’t made a soap yet because I have been busy but soon.

Too much incorrect information in just one book! Please do your research before trying this. Do not use fresh plants/fruits in melt and pour soaps, that will create a bacteria and mold bar soap! Ick!!

When I say the heading I assume you were making glycerin soap from scratch, not melt & pour. But the ideas are nice. If you are a soap maker & looking to make your own glycerin melt & pour from scratch, this is not the book. This is simple having the glycerin soap & rejecting it & adding other ingredients to it

I made some these soaps for Christmas gifts.They smelled so good that I had to make more for my daughter and her friends.

Nice idea, but the book reads as if it was translated to English from a foreign language, and if you added that much food and additives to such a small amount of soap, you would have a gloppy mess instead of a nice bar of soap. And it would be very scratchy. And plant additives in glycerin soap turn brown very quickly so it would be ugly. But they are nice ideas, if they were added more in moderation.

Sorry, but apart from being badly translated from another language (or at the very least being incredibly bad English), the instructions for the very first soap recipe in it suggest using 4oz soap base and melting it in a Pyrex dish on a stove top (no mention of putting the Pyrex in to a pot of water or anything) or in the microwave for 30 minutes!! I am sure they meant 30 seconds, but an amateur may not!!

This has some lovely soap recipes in. I am new to soap making but it is very clear and easy to understand.

Good Recipes in it with good information, this soap is a bit different to make than other soaps, very helpful.
