good book but had a really abrupt ending, although it did make a bit anxious about the next book which is what clif hangers are supposed to do, but it had a good plot and continued Cold Cereal in a neat way. and the time travle paradox where merle said what he said because the books said he said and the science mixed with the magic went well. over all a good book but only 4 stars because of the abrupt ending

This is the review from my 9 yrold:He likes the series so far. He liked the first book a bit better. He enjoys the plot and characters. It was a nice find. We will continue to read the saga. It kept his attention thru 2 books so far and that is all we can ask. He has read: Harry Potter, Percy Jackson. Says these are a bit easier to follow.

I love Adam Rex books. They are creative, different yet classic at the same time. My only wish is that they did the audio addition for the 2nd and 3rd book. I love Adams illustrations so I always read them first, but later I like to listen and the first of this series was so well done... seems such a shame not to do the rest.

I am 13 years old and loved this book because Adam Rex is a genius. If you like bizarre, hilarious, epic stories, you will like this book. Make sure that you read Cold Cereal first, and if you like that you will enjoy this book.

Reading this, as I did, without reading the first book, well, first, is doable. It’s got its own story going, and the end finishes off satisfactorily, even if the reader chooses not to go on to the third book in the trilogy. That being said, this book is brilliant! The writing is absolutely top notch, interesting, the characters fascinating and well spelled-out, and one just never knows which way the plot is going to turn. Bravo! The pencil illustrations are a good and welcome add. I only pause in recommending to an older audience due to the fact that the humor is sophisticated, and readers under age ten probably will not get the full impact of the absurd and wonderful silliness of many of its allusions. I could be wrong and I hope I am, because this is such a delightful read.

this is a must read book! yes, it is a little confuskng, but all te characters are vert cool and interesting. part mystery, part anasy, part sci-fi, and all humor!!!!

The comic style pictures were the best part of the book and I wish there had been more. I think I needed to read the first book to really say I liked it more but I would tell my friends to read it as the adventure is really crazy and the names used for the characters are even funnier.
