Bunker of Blood 01: Puppet Master Blitzkrieg Massacre [DVD]

I followed puppet master when the dvd first came out. Now, 11 stories later these puppets are still going strong. Some horror movies is just slashing people and the killer never does. These puppets kill people, only for the right reasons. A good horror movie, must see at least once. If these puppets went too costly, I would buy some from Moon.

Unlike other buyers I actually read the description knowing full well that this is a greatest hits compilation to the Puppet Master series. With that it has some nice new elements to the story as it has a cool animated intro that ads more to the lore. This is a nice addition for any die-hard Puppet Master fan and definitely worth picking up.

It was ok

The one star is a "Shame on you, Full Moon". DVD arrived in perfect shape and on time. Buyer beware, dvd consists of bits of the first 12 Puppet Masters sliced together.

It never ceases to amaze me how low Charles Band and his Full Moon company will stoop to make a buck. From constantly "finding items" in warehouses, skirting copyright laws by selling "imported Australian" versions of films, selling VHS quality transfers as a "grindhouse experience" for films he does not have legal licence to do so and even reprinting VHS big box cover artwork claiming them as "original, not reprints". Another way he has cheated people out of dollars in the past is releasing clipshow VHS/DVDs. He did it in the VHS era with tapes like"Zombiethon" and "Famous T&A" and still continues to this day with recent clip-show releases of martial arts and blaxploitation films. He even releases clip-show DVDS of his own films, like "When Puppets and Dolls Attack" and sometimes even disguise them as an actual sequel, as with the case of "Puppet Master: The Legacy" which was a best of compilation of the Puppet Master movies with a half hour of new wrap-around story book-ending the clip-show.What we have here with "Puppet Master: Blitzkrieg Massacre" is another "Puppet Master: The Legacy" fiasco but even more of a rip-off. Take a look at the bottom of the cover artwork that says "Bunker of Blood: Chapter 1" - this is a warning sign. It's a clip-show release of all the puppet master movies book-ended with newly shot footage of a guy in a post apocalyptic world finding and watching a video tape that contains clips of the Puppet Master films - yes that is it. All this and to make matters worse it is barely over an hour long in length! Apparently there will be future "chapters" where the guy watches compilations of other Full Moon films... great, I can't hold back my excitement.So there you have it, this is NOT a new sequel but just a cash grab clip-show hoping to fool people into thinking it is one. If you are a Puppet Master fan then you are aware of the recent reboot/remake "Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich" (made by another production company) and Charles Band took the opportunity to exploit the attention the reboot was getting to release this hastily thrown together "best-of" release. Don't fall for it and waste $15 for a "greatest hits" compilation of films you already own. If you don't own any of the Puppet Master films then they can be found in cheap multi-feature sets. Do yourself a favor, buy those instead.

It is another really pathetic collection of old clips that are falsely advertised in a way to suggest that this is a movie. It is NOT a movie, it is just a stupid collection of OLD scenes and clips.
