Works Great!
These little caps worked perfectly to cover the rusting dishwasher tines on our dishwasher. I thought I was going to have to buy a brand new dishwasher because the rusting tines kept putting stains on my white dishes. The dishwasher is not that old, but the tines are in bad shape. You don't need glue or anything else. Just twist these little caps on the tines and presto, rusting tines are not a problem anymore. I bought 2 packs the first time, but I am buying 2 more packs to get the rest of the tines covered. So glad to have found this money saving product.

Work Well So Far, But ...
They work well so far, but I’ve only had them installed for a couple of weeks. I can’t comment on their longevity. (1) I needed to use a heavy duty cutter to trim off the rusted and bulging tips of the prongs. A normal pair of pliers or wire cutter wasn’t strong enough. (2) Once a couple of prongs started to show rust, it didn’t take long for a LOT more prongs to start showing rust. In the end, it took quite a few more packages of the caps to complete the job. It would be nice if they sold packages with larger quantities. By the time I’m finished, I expect I’ll use more than 100 caps. (3) The $7.99 price may seem good, but people most likely will need several packages and, if they don’t own an adequate cutter for the prongs, will need to buy one.

EXCELLENT
I was skeptical when I bought this but I had two prongs in my Dishwasher that the vinyl tip wore off. Using the Dishwasher prong, was easy to slide on and was secure. Again, I was nervous it would come off during the dishwasher cycle, but it adheres great and I would highly recommend this product and have. We own several homes we include dishwashers and every home we rent out all get this as a part of their welcome kit.

Great Product
I noticed our dishwasher prongs were getting rusty. When I saw the price to replace the whole drawer, I thought I'd give these a shot first. I wasn't sure how to use them when I got them. They were too short to fit over the whole prong. After some thought, I realized if I snipped off the top the caps slipped right down where I needed them. I do have to admit, my husband had to do that part. It fits so snug it was hard for me to give it enough force. I would definitely try these before spending lots of money on a new drawer.

Hamptons Dishwasher Prong Tine Caps Dishwasher
I was thrilled to find Dishwasher prong tine caps because I had several broken ones in my lower tray. I researched and decided to buy the Hamptons, a set of 20. They arrived in good time, but when I opened them I was surprised to find them made of such thin plastic. They looked long enough, so I decided to put them on my dishwasher prongs that were broken off. I could not get one of them on. No matter how I tried because they were too small. They would not stretch over the prongs. I have a normal home dishwasher, and these prongs were so cheaply made I feel I was ripped off. They should be ashamed to sell such a product. I would not recommend this product to anyone!

These work ok, but do not arrive in package shown.
The prong covers worked just fine. They slipped right over my dishwasher prongs with no problem, almost too easily; I'm a little worried that moisture will get under them and cause more rusting. They also turned light pink on the first wash and the air had a strong plastic smell during the wash. Since then though they've been fine; they work well and do protect my dishes. I am only leaving 2 stars because they do NOT come in the packaging as shown, they just arrive loose in a little baggie. I bought some others that were advertised differently (not as Hampton's) and they look and fit exactly the same (and also turned pink, etc.). I deliberately bought two types so I could compare them and then it seems that I received exactly the same thing for both. I paid slightly more for this one. So it appears to be false advertising, and I wasted my time trying to find and test a couple different brands.

they work
After checking price of new rack, decided to try these. Product came in bag, not "blister" pack shown, however no problem. Installed 40 on two racks, the majority of which had tines whose tips were swollen with rust. Installation was easy if you heat caps with hairdryer to increase flexibility. Prior to purchase was concerned that tips would come off in hot wash or removing dishes; however, with the longer caps (compared to other similar products), we've had no problems at all. Expect that other parts of the washer will fail before there are any further deterioration of rack tines.

Still waiting to see if they work...
Well,It's obvious why I ordered these - and why you might be looking to...Contrary to other reviewers, I did not find these terribly difficult to get on. I of course needed to clean up the rust and bulging on the problem tines, which I did with some pliers and wire cutters (you can basically just "crunch" the rusty parts off). Once that was done, the prong caps went on fairly easily with a twisting motion - and once you get them on about 60% of the way you can pretty much push them down from the top until they are snug. They don't seem that they would come off too easily with a pull, but I'm hoping the strong dishwasher jets don't blow them off.I'm subtracting one star because honestly these don't seem like the best solution because I think water can and will work its way under the caps and continue rusting. There are some other solutions which involve repainting the tines with a plastic type solution - and I think that might have worked better. The other star is because the item was not shipped in the retail packaging as shown above - they were just in a little plastic baggy (seller was DBROTH). While that really has no practical bearing on their function, I feel it is a bit of a deceptive selling practice. On the other hand, the item is basically what was ordered, was a relatively good price for these, and arrived promptly with the free shipping.

Dish washer repairs.
I found these to be rather expensive for what they are.. but bought several pakages. Ended up buying a new basket which was cheaper than 3 packs of rubber tips. Save your money, replace the basket, really simple..
