touchfire Screen-top keboard for Ipad
It is different and the idea is good, but the price is ridiculous... I guess just because you service the ipad, it means you can over price it....I thought I would get more for the money then just a rubber piece to cover the ipad keyboard....for $40.00 which the cost can't be more the $1.00.. I was the fool to believe it was worth it...

Not perfect BUT well worth the money
First and foremost it does the job intended very well and eradicates all the typos you make using just the touch screen, without having a Bluetooth key board which in my opinion defeats the object of the ipad. Sure, it's a little flimsy and moves out of place a little too easily but nevertheless I highly recommend this "gadget" for easy error free ipad typing.

A MUST HAVE!
I have been searching for a keyboard for my ipad for few years now. Yes, few years and I finally found it. TouchFire keyboard is a must have if you are looking for a keyboard for your ipad or a gift for someone to accessorize their iPad. I have seen and researched so many keyboards and they are so boring looking. Many of the ipad keyboards out there either have a case ( not the greatest looking) attached to the keyboard, which requires Bluetooth paring, or detachable ones that also require Bluetooth paring. I own Bluetooth required products, but typing on an ipad, Bluetooth? I have seen some people using Bluetooth keyboards with their ipads and connection lost or couldn't pair, and that is annoying. I think that is one of the reasons why I have been searching for the perfect keyboard for my ipad for so long, besides the fact that most of the attached keyboard cases do not great and the keyboards are bulky. TouchFire keyboard is so light and thin and it looks cool. It's clear and foldable. It also has a case for storage if needed. I love my TouchFire keyboard and I will buy it as a gift for my friends and family. I m looking forward to see what TouchFire will design next. -Sam-

Id say get a good Bluetooth keyboard
I think this is the first time I've ever given anything one star. This is an insipid product that has so many caveats, but more importantly it doesn't really improve typing. In fact, three of us found it was more difficult to use and caused more typos. If you use any one of dozens of third party cases, you will have to remove your iPad from the case to even attempt to use it. Id say get a good Bluetooth keyboard, but at that point, why not buy a surface or a Mac Air?One more stupid impulse purchase that will make its way into the white elephant this Christmas.

Very disappointed!
I am an early adopter so when I saw this advertised, I jumped to order it. The seller was great in making sure that I received it in time for an extended trip. I bought it to replace the bluetooth keyboard case since it is heavy for travel. I also purchased a new case that works very well with flipping up and placing the Touchfire Keyboard on the iPad. However, after using the Touchfire for a couple of days, I removed it since it is a big nuisance and interferes with my efficiency in answering emails, etc. Whereas I type very fast making very few mistakes with either the built in iPad keyboard or the bluetooth keyboard, I just can't type fast on the Touchfire and make so many mistakes that it just isn't worth using so I am currently trying to return it. I am amazed at all the 5 stars on this item since it just isn't a technological improvement or time saver for me at all. Too bad!

Does what it says, but...
I touch-type about 60 WPM. The iPad virtual keyboard had reduced me to a two-finger typist. I have an Apple Wireless Keyboard, but it is a little bulky to carry along. I had hopes the Touchfire would give me the best of both worlds. But, I was disappointed and have just returned the Touchfire. I have to say that the Touchfire does what it claims. It fit perfectly over the iPad keys, stayed in place, and gave sufficient tactile feedback for me to touch-type. However, the feel is soft, requiring ...more pressure than the virtual keyboard, but without the positive “click” of a hard keyboard. In addition, the size and spacing of the iPad's virtual keys is slightly compressed compared to a hard keyboard (this is not the fault of the Touchfire, but a factor of the iPad’s design). And, of course, one must still hit the “.?123” key to get numbers and symbols. The result is that my touch-typing was slowed way down and error rate increased. I assume practice would overcome some of this, but for me it isn’t worth the effort. I’ll just stick to my Wireless Keyboard or using two fingers.

good product
I was excited about getting this because I really like using the keypad on my iPad a lot better than my bluetooth because I am not a great typist and with my iPad I have spell check so I type much faster. This is a really good product though it took me awhile to see that. It does not work if you have a really good protective screen on your iPad so I had to take mine off and I still wasn't happy with it and was going to return it but I wanted to give it one more try. I found that you really need to rinse it well when you get it to get all the stuff off it for it to work properly. It tells you that in the instructions before use but I didn't rinse it enough evidently. So, in all, I would recommend this keyboard

UPATED on Don't buy for iPad 1
I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the way this product works on the iPad 1. First the magnets do not work on the iPad 1. If you have the iPad cover, then it may attach at the bottom. I didn't have the cover and just used it on the bare iPad. it is SUPPOSED to stay in place with the "adhesive" like buttom. It did NOT stay in place. This may be a great product for iPads 2 through 4. But if you have an original iPad, don't waste your money.UPDATE: After giving up on this product, I was contacted by one of the developers to give additional feedback. At first, I wasn't interested in doing so. The developer thought that I may have received a defective product. He was RIGHT. The first Touchfire would not stay in place on my iPad 1. However, I just recently tried another Touchfire keyboard that works very well with the iPad 1. These folks really care about their product. The early sales may have had some manufacturing issues (or at least mine did). Nice to see that it works as it is supposed to. Highly recommend.

Rather awkward in use
This arrived very quickly and was well packaged. I did not find it easy to use, although the actual application was simple. Perhaps I am too used to my iPad screen, and if you have not used one for long you might find this a great help. To me it was awkward and in the way. It is neatly made and fits well. If it suits you I should think it would be very useful.

Four Stars
Certainly easier to use than touch-screen!

Touchfire Top Keyboard for iPads - disappointing
I had to return this as it wasn't as good as I'd hoped. Typing on it was so frustrating as many of the letters did not type through the plastic, whether the pressure was too soft or just too quick, it made it very time-consuming having to go back and correct, I may as well have not bothered with it at all. Not for me, I'm afraid.
