I had trouble getting this open at first and wrote to the seller who graciously offered a refund. However, I really wanted them (I bought 3) for cardamom seeds and allspice, so I tried putting them in the freezer. Worked. It was still tight, but once I used it a few times, it was fine. I plan to order more. I love these.
