Get two or three it is worth it. just dont do what i did!
Let’s be honest with each other, I mean that is what we do right? it is a piece of steel that is a target. We improvised a saw horse and some chain to attach to the support. We shot it with 22lr, 9mm, 45ACP, 223/556, 30-30, 30-06, and 50 BMG. It held up great. We shot from 10-50 yards with pistols and it stopped everything with no problem. With the 223/556 and 30-30 from 100-300 yards with great results and minimal pitting. I guess the 22 was hitting… I could not hear it but my son said he could. I guess I am getting old. We used spot tracers with the 50 BMG from 100-500 yards with no penetration. There were a few dents but nothing that wasn’t expected. Spot tracers don’t penetrate car doors so… from 800-1000 yards we hit it with the 30-06 and the 50 BMG. The 50 BMG did get penetration but the 30-06 did not. That’s what happens when you use and APIT. I think that they are great and I will get more for the range. Now I just need on about 1.5 inches thick.

Do NOT purchase this item!!!
We purchased the silhouette version of this target at 3/8 thickness. Shot straight through the thing with a 5.56 at 150 yards. This was well under the suggestion by the manufacturer. I do not believe this was ar500 steel. Highly disappointed by the quality of this product and we will NOT be making any further purchases from this company going forward.

Better than expected
Absolutely perfect and better than expected at a price that is far better than anything I can get locally. I picked up the 12x18 silhouette, painted it orange so I could see it down range and placed it at about 25 yards (usually not recommended by manufacturers but that's where I shoot at anyways) and hit it with some 223 from an AR-15. I usually expect some dimpling and pitting from a round that hot but to a greater extent than what happened with this target. The steel is extremely hard and of all the targets I have shot with 223/5.56 so far, this one holds up the best. It has now taken about 200 rounds from various firearms ranging from 9mm to 223, to 12g slugs and none of them have really done anything other than a slight pit that's barely noticeable and scraping the paint off. Fully worth every penny.

Great target for great value
Had a chance to take this to the range today. Did well with pistol and pistol caliber AR at 25 and 50 yds. Pistol did absolutely nothing to it at all. I did shoot a 223 bolt rifle at 50 yds but a bit high on the silhouette and cartered it just a bit. Other targets i shot lower and it didnt crater it, prob because the target was able to move and swing to dissipate some energy. Those lower hits left the smallest pock marks. The higher one left craters about half the size of a dime and maybe 1/32" to 1/16" deep. Not the fault of the steel at all. My fault for shooting it so close with high velocity like a 223.Overall good quality and value for ar500 targets. I would buy again for sure.

Great size, thickness and very heavy
Great size, thickness and very heavy. Shot around 1,000 rounds of an assortment of .308, 300blackout, .223/.556, 9mm, 40cal, and .45 cal. from 100yards for rifles and about 30 for hand guns. Minimal dimpling from the .308 but other than that the target held up great in the one outing. This will last for years to come. Great purchase.

"Shoot" for a better product...
NOT HAPPY!!!1st, the item says it is a "Prime" item, I ordered 3 of these and only one of them got delivered in the time it was supposed to, but I did at least get one on time to play with, so I'll give it a star for that lol...2nd, the one out of 3 targets that I did actually receive on time only had one hanging hole cut out of it, the other hole wasnt a complete cut and I have nothing to finish the cut with, I'll have to take it to a local welding shop to finish the cut, highly doubt a dremmel is going to even scratch this stuff... Not sure how "quality control" even missed this...3rd which is a positive which is where the 2nd star comes from in the rating is that it seems to be legit ar500. Tested it with 9mm fmj at 5-10yds and it didnt seem to make any dimples. Reading the other reviews though, I may just use these for a pistol only and buy some better quality thicker stuff for shooting fast moving stuff like 223/5.56 and 6.5 Creedmoor, may use this one with one hanging hole in it for a tester to see if it holds up to fast moving stuff... TO BE CONTINUED...If the company tries to make it right, I will change my rating, but as of now, buyer beware.

Unbeatable deal.
Holds up incredibly well to handgun ammo. Looks like .357 and .45lc aren't even scratching it. It does pit some with my 300 WM rifle. But I'm only 150yds away. Should I back up some? Yes. I'm out of yard though. Should I get 1/2"? Maybe. For $50 shipped to the house? Am I completely satisfied?! YES.

Variable Quality
This is the second target we purchased in our shooting group. The first one stopped 223 bullets at 100 yards no problem. This new one leaves big holes 😥
