Dutailier Sleigh 0398 Glider Multiposition-Lock Recline with Nursing Ottoman Included

I researched chairs before purchasing this glider including online and going to stores and trying them out. There are many versions of the Dutalier chairs, including a model that is only sold in BuyBuyBaby which is not this one so just be aware. The Dutalier chairs I had tried were the most comfortable gliders I tried and had the most features available which this model has -recline, locking ability, gliding ottoman, nursing stool- so I wanted to get one. There are different models, some don't have the recline, some don't have the nursing ottoman, and that accounts for the different prices you see online. In this chair, the right handle locks the glider in whatever position you choose, the left allows you to recline. The nursing stool pulls out from the ottoman and allows you to rest your feet for breastfeeding.We just put it together tonight, and you do have to be very careful to read the instructions. We took our time and my husband and I were able to assemble both the chair and the ottoman with the nursing stool without any problems in about 30 minutes or so. I noted in other reviews that some people put the handles on backwards, so you just have to be careful to follow the directions exactly and you will be fine. For example it says to put the one handle on the left, when "facing the chair", this was a little counter intuitive to me, but as long as you are paying attention it is ok. The chair is extremely comfortable and it is so wonderful to be able to recline back and glide at the same time with your feet up on the gliding ottoman. The cushions feel very nice they are on the firmer side which I love, and made of a soft wool-like material.

I love this chair! We got it for our daughter's nursery. It's the most comfortable place in my house to nurse her! It's the perfect width to use with a nursing pillow (I love My Breast Friend). The nursing stool is a great feature. It looks good and was easy to assemble. In regards to a previous review about size: I'm 5'4" and my husband is 6'2" 230 lbs and we both can fit in it fine (individually, of course). Great chair!

Extraordinarily comfortable with extremely easy-to-use optional recline and optional gliding (both can be locked). The nursing ottoman is also hugely useful and so nice that it can either glide or be held solid. This glider has been one of the most important purchases for helping my wife cope with the challenges of breastfeeding. It's amazing when she tries to breastfeed anywhere else - it's just so much harder to do, and shows how much this chair can make life easier and more comfortable.A few quibbles:- As other reviews mention of this product, the arm rest pads tend to un-velcro themselves constantly. This seems like a stupid problem to have, particularly since the arm rests are so important for bracing babies while nursing. We've resorted to tying things around them so they don't keep making loud velcro sounds when baby position is shifted.- The ottoman slides around on the floor sometimes when used in the stationary (nursing) position.- Wish it reclined a bit further - it definitely does not get close to flat

I just had my last child, who was a surprise. So I had to purchase all new baby stuff (since I got rid of it all a few years ago) My husband and I tested "this" chair at a baby store. The baby store could not get it to us for about three months so we ordered the chair off Amazon. Unfortunately its not the same chair. Same company, same exact name, but not the same product. The price difference (amazon is cheaper) makes sense now. Even though this is not the same chair, its still a great chair. Not as wide as the one at the baby store, not as tall in the back either, and it does not have the pockets on the side of the chair. (if you are under six feet tall and less than 250 pounds this chair should be fine, but if you are over six feet tall and obese this chair may be too small) I say all of this, just in case another person goes to buy the chair off Amazon thinking its the same chair at the baby store. I am over six feet tall, I can not rest my head on the back of the chair. That is an issue for me, but not for my kids or my husband whom are shorter than me and enjoy sitting in this chair a great deal. I could also stand to lose some significant weight and so the chair is a little tight for me.__________Update 10/18 - This chair has held up great. Still my favorite seat in the house, and my kids love to read in it.

This is an extremely comfortable chair and glides perfectly. It requires some assembly, but I was able to do it by myself. The fabric is a thicker wool-like material but isn't itchy. A very nice chair!

Was missing the hardware to install footstep on ottoman. I contacted dutailier directly and they said the warranty was directly with amazon. I’ve tried to go through amazon without any success of getting hardware replacement.

This chair is comfortable but we received it with a huge crack in the base. Contacted the company about it, and included photos, but didn't hear back. For the amount of money it is, this is pretty disappointing. Recommend buying this style from someone else!

Great chair for nursing, lots of late nights on this chair and was very comfortable for baby and I. Great value.
