Nice tool
Well made and with enough strength to last. Works great on my 450 clone. It also allows easy access to the close fitting ball joints around the head.

Poor design. Jaws break off under normal use. Utterly useless.
I bent one of the jaws almost immediately upon first use on a TRex 450. The steel/metal used in this pair of ball link pliers is sub par and coupled with the design of this tool, allows the end to bend to the point of being useless. I can easily bend it back but it will likely bend again, but after a few bendings, I expect metal fatigue to set in and the jaw will break off.[Update]One jaw did break off a couple uses later. Returned to Amazon successfully. Good riddance to this piece of garbage.

Sturdy but..
They took awhile to get here, but it was delivered by the delivery date, so that's my own impatientence. The curved edges in theory should have been helpful, but instead it caused the two pieces to unalign when I tried to connect them. I ended up having to fight to get it to do what I needed. The shorter connector (the one with the small stablizer), since it wasn't as deep as the other was the biggest issue for me. They actually are pretty quality made, just be 100% you check and double check your socket joints size/connection angle before purchasing. The curve in the metal is more pronounced in person than it seems online.

Work Well On The Size Ball Link They're Designed For
These pliers, as with all these ball link pliers, should be described by the diameter of the protrusion that pushes the ball off and/or the diameter of the ball they're designed for. The protrusion on these is 1/8 in. in diameter and works well on the 5/32 in. diameter balls on my V913 heli. If the ball you want these for is much smaller than 5/32 in. diameter, these won't work. The only issue I had with them was that there was a sharp thin web of metal on the protrusion that would cut into the link as it pushed through. Once I filed that off smooth they worked fine.

Wonderful and worked well! Shipped quick too.
Received the pair of pliers today. First thing I did after taking them out of the bubble packaging was to try them out. Ive never used a pair of these before. I have an E-Flite Blade 450X and tried them out on it and they worked perfectly! Such an ease to snap links off the balls. I was always afraid when ever I did it before with my fingers because I thought I was going to break the little plastic pieces. With this tool, that fear is gone. They are a cinch to use and fit my hands and balls (heli) well. However snapping them back on, It was difficult to use the pliers and awkward. Now I'm not sure if your suppose to use them for that or if I was just doing it wrong. I found it easier to just use my fingers to snap them on. But off? the pliers are well worth the price! I'm very happy! Thank you! Also arrived very quick, ordered them on a Friday, and they arrived the next Thursday!

It slips a lot but it may still be better than using nails
The end of my pliers don't line up. Some sort of manufacturing defect I guess. It sort of works on the ball links. It slips a lot but it may still be better than using nails.

Great pliers for 450 size helis
While ball links are one of the best type of connections for RC helis, they can also be frustrating to disconnect with only your fingers. Using needle nose pliers is an acceptable short term solution, but having a trusty pair of actual ball link pliers is the best solution. You may have trouble getting these to fit into some tight spots around the head and mixing bar, but are fairly small, and usually will eventually worm their way into place. These are super fast at undoing the connections. The bonus to using these, is the health of your heli. These work by pushing on the ball with one side of the pliers, and pulling on the link with the other side. So when you squeeze, the force applied is being applied in the correct areas, for the best result. Using needle nose pliers, for example, puts a lot more force on the arm of the link, which can cause bends and strains in the link, over time.
